so im sure many have seen and given much input in my couple 'i need a new computer' threads. well, everytime im ready to buy, something comes up
well, finally something good comes my way.
my g/fs parents bought 2 compaq presarios a couple years ago. nothing fancy, 40gb HD, 768mb ram, not sure what other features.
well, one of them got a virus, or something, which really f'd it up. still having a warranty, they sent it back in. they get it back, compaq couldnt fix it, so her dad just decided to go drop 1k on a new laptop
he said we could take this one, and if my dad was able to fix it, i could have it. SWEET. take it to dads, he let it sit for a week, messes with it today, i guess he cleared the whole hard drive and did some other things, and everything is working fine now.
so now im sitting here online, wireless, without having to have it plugged in (g/fs laptop battery is f'd and as soon as you pull the power cord, it dies.).
only thing ive realized is if theres some form of a pressure point on the bottom of the computer, or its not on a level surface or equal weight distribution, the screen goes a little haywire and the colors get wierd. as soon as you take the pressure off, its fine again. almost like a loose wire or something. i dont know. oh well
