compaq presario m2000 help

anyone able to walk me through taking this thing apart to make sure the screen cable is connected securely? im getting the f'd up color when the screen is in certain spots. i talked to her dad, who we got it from, and for some reason when they sent it in to try to get it fixed, they replaced the screen.

basically, if the screen isnt leaning forward, its got the wierd color. if i prop it up, its fine

Laptops all come apart a little differently. Most are pretty-much the same though, you'll have to pull all the screws out of the bottom. If that isn't enough, make sure there are no screws on the top side that need to come out, they are sometimes hidden beneath a snap-on trim piece. Also check to see if there are any screws on the back. Basically, if there is a screw, take it out.

Be careful when you separate the upper and lower pieces of the computer. Sometimes there are little wires or cables connected and you don't want to pull them out without seeing where they go.
