Converting Auto stick to "lookalike" manual

Hey guys,

Is there a way to make an auto stick (straight line) look like a stickshift nob? Can u just get one of the new leather covers and put that over the whole automatic display?

Anybody ever done that before?

i just bought one of those carbon fiber knobs with the 3 screws at the bottom and the button at the top. but after awhile the screws went bad so i just push down on the shift knob to change gears. and i can just pull my knob right off and throw it at someone if i want lol

Can this DYI be used with an 07 Elantra as well? The shift gates are probably different.

i did when i had my 01 auto where teh boot lit up as well

well just finsihed doing mine,1030 at night, love the way it looks. will get pics tomorow. only tricky part os getting the new shifter lined up right so it locks everywhere its supposed to, like stock. from P to R and such.
