What do you guys think of the srt-6? They are around 15k w/ low miles and thats really cheap compared to the 40k that they use to cost. I don't know how reliable they are though. and i know 2008 is the last year.

Ever sat in one? It's probably the most difficult car I've ever tried to get in/out of. Additionally, you can't see a damn thing out the rear window - it's worse than the 350z for that. Add in the fact that it's made by Chrysler, and
I'd call that a trifecta of suck.

+1 they suck when you sit in them, they have no power, and they look like a sperm.

The only cool thing is that at 62mph the rear wing deploys...but you don't even have control over it.

I see more supercars on the road than i see crossfires...and i've NEVER seen as srt-6.

stay away.

they are actually not that bad i think. they are built on the old SLK platform, have the Mercedes Tranny and are pretty damn quick, but interior quality is just terrible

My boss has one (just a regular crossfire) so I hate them. Plus I personally have never really liked them regardless of him owning one. If you like it though I'm sure it'll get you more looks than our Hyundais.

Amen to that.

i hate it when they take an already developed chassis and just stick another car onto in... plus, like somebody else said, american cars have interiors that look like ****. people that live in caves have better interior.

and yes, they do look like sperm haha

It saves them a lot of money. Also that chassis if I remember right was quite good.

true, very true. And yes, Mercedes builts nice chassis and everything. But... idk... i just dont really like it. For that money it might be worth it (11k?) But i still wouldnt buy it just because its an american sportscar. But that might be cause im from europe lol:abovelol:

wait a sec, i drive a 280z, an srt-6 should be no problem. I do think it sucks that they don't have tilt wheel and the interior is bland like most "domestic" cars. and the srt-6 wing doesn't go down it is always upright.

I believe the regular Crossfire has that function.

I work on a Used Car Dealer / formed Ford Dealership and my dealer had 2 come in for reconditioning , nobody wants to work on them because they are a pain the the rear, we where told that not even the Chrysler dealership wants to work on them anymore.

first impression i got after looking at one i liked it then after sitting down on one i was like "nope this car is not for me".

well i talked to a local dealer too actually and they said that they usually don't come in that often for maintence because when they come to the dealership its for a trade in. i dunno why people seem to hate these cars so much, i'd only consider a srt-6 but they are so uncommon i can probably get one in a few years for an even better price after they are disontinued.

I think its all right. I like the convertible better than the coupe b/c then I could deal with the unlimited head room (top down). I've sat in them and the coupe just feels claustrophobic. As for driving/performance, its an SRT so it should be decent-pretty good. Like any car, I'd say to drive it (maybe see if they'll let you take it home overnight) and see if you can live with it.

I autocrossed one (geez, what car haven't I autocrossed, lol). Actually it was the non-SRT version. I remember it handling decently well but it was way too cramped inside for me so it was awkward for me to drive. Then I rode in the SRT-6 which had some grunt to it and it was a little more impressive.

Still it didn't leave a lasting impression with me, mostly because of it being cramped I think. I don't know too much about them other than that but if you try it out and can fit comfortably in it I'd say it could be a decent buy if you're after bang for the buck.

I drove a non SRT rag top with the 6 speed standard for 20 minutes. Handled really nice; but not much room. I would price out some of the wear items first. Could be expensive to operate.
