ok so i have some extra RED leds i was messin around with, and i was trying to c if i could put any into my hvac since i no longer have the regular bulbs...

so anyways

i have an led in one of the small bulb holes in the back, n i go to push on it with my finger so it makes contact with the surface, it worked, but then i heard something click. and all of my dash board lights went out.

everything in the car works fine, dome lights, map lights, gear and door open, turn signals. everything works fine, EXCEPT my speedo, rpm, temp, gas, radio and hvac lights. those went out, i checked a couple fuses i suspected could be the cause... but they all seemed to be intact.

so does anybody know the exact fuse i have to check/replace? or could i be looking at something more serious than a fuse?

Look at the fuses under the dash AND under the hood. Take each one out and MAKE SURE they're fine.

how exactly do i kno if theyre fine...? i figure that if the lil metal inside is still solid and connected together then its fine right? just like bulb filaments, correct?

turn on your side markers/parking lights, and see if your passenger side works, if not then its a fuse

i had the same problem, AND wasn't blowing fuses at first, turned out to be a wire that was double grounded

kk ill brb... im gonna check every fuse, and also check if both sides work.

THANK YOUUUUUU!!!!!! both of u.

i went thru every fuse, like munky suggested, and turns out it was infact the RH Brake fuse, my entire right side didnt work, just like turbogls said.

swapped it for a new fuse, connected everything back up. and IT WORKS!

thank you both :D <3

Now this is what I love about this site. If someone has a problem like this, odds are that someone else has had the same issue and found a solution.

Nice work, guys!

Ditto, good job. I love the way you describe the fuse swapping, as if it was so hard, lol.
