Who else here remembers their dreams at night? and are they just weird dreams that don't seem to make sense or do they usually seem to have a "theme"?

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't. Sometimes they make sense, others are just random.

Call me crazy, but every now and then I dream something and then it happens later in life. Gives me a real weird feeling of deja vu.
No one else can have dreams around me..I snore. Loudly.

Lately my dreams have been bothering me. They aren't nessecarily bad but they remind me of things (someone) that I haven't seen in awhile. I guess its one of those things thats "haunting" me.

Yep.
The other night I had a dream in which some friends and I were in some type of class together. Some girl wanted to go to a movie with me but I had to tell her I was married. Another girl liked one of my friends. And the other friend liked our professor, who was actually one of my supervisors from work. Then there was this girl from a class last semester in real life that was going to go out with the janitor that was in the dream for some reason.
So, who the hell knows?

I don't remember my dreams anymore. I used to remember them when I was a kid up til about 20, and they were always in black and white. I do wake up once in a while sweating and my heart racing, but still can't remember the dream.

well call that (someone) up! I believe dreams are remembered for a reason. If my grandma was still alive she could tell you what your dreams mean. She was very religious and all that and had this way of explaining dreams that you could not deny their meanings. I think she would tell you to look Inside yourself and follow your feelings." Your heart never leads you astray"
I also used to be able to control my dreams . I know it sounds weird but I could do whatever I wanted in them like "the matrix" I always thought I was crazy and have never talked about it til now

Currently taking a dream journal for Sleep and Dreams class.
Some from far out and some based on things in my life.
Like my last one was me taking my car to a new shop to get the spoiler painted and they ****ed it all up.

Damn, I liked that other recent one I had just supplied you with.
Another dream, this is from a couple weeks ago.
My wife (Amy) was pregnant (that's a bad dream already) and getting ready for the baby to come out. We were at the hospital and all the doctors and nurses were worried about the baby. The thing was that Amy's head was all deformed and alien-like (kind of like a typical alien mixed with a hammerhead shark, kinda) but nobody seemed to notice except me and I thought all the other people were crazy that they didn't see it. Then I woke up and realized it was a dream but I had to keep looking at her head to make sure it was like regular. Then I couldn't go to sleep because I was thinking "What if this deformo-head dies? Am I responsible for all her student loans?" Hah.

Back when I was in elemetary/middle/high school I had a recurring dream once a year, a week before school started. The dream was that I lost my class schedule and I got lost in the hallways, I didn't know where to go and no one was helping me...
explain that one.

My dreams tend to involve a jumble of past experiences that blend together as a plot unfold's. Good or bad, they almost always involve numerous familiar people and places.
I also used to be able to control my dreams . I know it sounds weird but I could do whatever I wanted in them like "the matrix" I always thought I was crazy and have never talked about it til now
Lucid Dreaming. When you realise that you are dreaming, but don't wake up, and thus your conscious allows you to control the dream.
I only had one or two, but DAMN are they fun.

anyone have those dreams where it actually happens 3 days to a week later in real life, down to even the smallest details?
i get those at least once every two weeks.
I just had a dream about a woman that isn't in my life anymore. We were friends and she had a 5 year old daughter. We were friends for years and she left town and I haven't seen either of them since. The dream was that I was at some sort of family social function like a play or something like that. Then I ran into her. She had a photo album with her like it was made just for me to show how much her little girl had grown up.
Probably the happiest most vivid dream I have had in a long time.

Same here. I've done it a few times. It is weird, but cool.
I also had a composition English class where the professor had us keep a dream journal and we had to train ourselves to write down our dreams immediately after we have them. After that class I've been able to remember my dreams a bit better.
The most recent one I remember was a nightmare after watching I Am Legend. You know it's a good movie when it give you nightmares, haha.

Theres been a few times when I've gone to sleep and about an hour or so after for whatever reason, I'll SNAP awake. Most of the time I believe the dream was just about doing ordinary things and then I think I fall? Thats probably why I snap awake like that.

i haven't had too many recently cause i haven't had enough sleep. But I use to have some reocurring ones like reocurring yearly and then have the deja vu feeling all the time. I'd have that deja vu feeling like once a week and still do sometimes. I've had alot of dreams about being shot/tortured and also sex dreams but the ones that include shooting/torture are the ones that last the longest. sex drems usually end before they get good because of the alarm clock. :(

I probably remember 3 or 4 dreams a week. I dream every night but don't always remember. I never have good dreams or at least dreams that aren't bad. Almost all my dreams take place at my job or in a place that isn't exactly like my job but is my job in the dream (know what I mean?) or just involve my job in general.
There is a general theme to all my dreams. That everything is going wrong and no one will listen to me and I can't get past the tiniest little problems to move on and accomplish something. They always have that general overlying frustration where I can't figure out what's going on or do and just can't fix it.
Lucid Dreams, yeah, I have those after I wake up from my other dream, I'll be pissed off cause I thought my dream was real, then fall back to sleep and start to have a dream just like the one I was having.
Once I realize its a dream I try to control the dream and overcome whatever is going on and I still can't. Its only been recently I've tried to control my dreams, maybe 5 times, but it never works. I always get angry and say '**** this! I hate this dream. I'm waking up.' and I wake up.
I've rarely dreamed about sex. The dreams I have had would always result in me almost having sex but not actually getting to do it (frustration anyone?), it'll be a girl telling me she wants to and that we're about to but it never happens or the dream just changes to something else.
I had an ex-girlfriend who had a dream about sex and she woke up and said she was more turned on than she had ever been from physical contact with a guy. Yeah no, don't know anything about that. I can remember at least 2 dreams where I actually had sex. I didn't really remember who it was with or why.
When I thought about the dream, the pleasure of having sex in the dream was equal with the pleasure of staring at a blank piece of paper (meaning nothing).

I had a dream the other night where I was out back of a house I used to live at and I was taking a pee. Then all the sudden a bear poked it's head out of the trees. Thing is I couldn't stop peeing, so I was walking backwards while peeing towards the bear and it kept getting closer. Good thing I woke up, it was scary.

Once you start it's hard to stop. That sounds pretty realistic to me, except that I don't know why you were peeing behind your old house.
Is this a re-occurring dream?

The other day I dreamed that someone stole my elantra and that I was able to get a big check from the insurance for a downpayment on a nice car.
Then I woke up, looked out of my window, and when I saw the car still there I was pissed, lol.
I love my XD, but 60% of the time it pisses me off all the time. (haha, anyone seen anchorman?)

i remember my dreams for a lil while after i get up, i know my "falling" dreams quite well. they scare the piss out of me and i get them all the time. a common thought is that if you hit the ground in those dreams then you actually die, my mom used to tell me that all the time. i get jerked awake sometimes cuz ill have a dream of like riding a bike and ill actually feel like im doing it and my leg or something will tweak out, kinda like when a puppy sleeps and they run in their dreams lol

I had a dream last night that I woke up and looked into the mirror and my hair was down to my shoulders. I was like WTF how did it grow so damn fast.
I had a dream this morning I guess, I was eating laffy taffy at some point?
All I know was that I woke up with the taste of laffy taffy so strong in my mouth I swore I had just ate a piece.
