you know, we must have good engines, take a look.

This guy in a rental car is going like 70mph down the road at 6+RPMs for 7+ mins...
I have learned 2 things for that video.
1) never buy a rental
2) We much have good engines.

lol... i always told myself that next time i get a rental i'm gonna take out the air filter, remove the muffler, dump a crap load of rubbing alcohol in the gas tank and go have fun...
but then my ignorance high dies down...and i'm stuck staring at the wall for 30 min.

dude, you'd think if he was gonna post that he could be listening to better music? lol. and after all that, he didn't torch the trans, or the engine? and being that's a rental, you know the oil's been changed once, if that, I feel kinda good about the potential durability of my car that's been running on RP for the last 40k (mostly highway).

How in the hell is he going 70 mph In (L) and not hitting the rev limit????? I hit the rev limit at like 40mph in (L) when i first got the car.

I remember being at the hyundai dealer aand seeing an 01 XD come in with a locked motor. Original filter, oil had NEVER been changed, they just added when the oil light came on. Car gave up at 62k miles.

Unfortunately a new MDX will only last 16k miles before self destructing. So much for honduh and their "better engineered" engines.

Yeah, that's pretty much how Enterprise (I know this, we had a guy work for us from there for like 3 days) all they do is top em off. That's why a lot of the car dealers have rentals now with less than 20k for sale, they figure it's cheaper to not maintain them, when the tires or brakes are done, they get rid of em and buy new thanks to the deals they have with the Big Three. They're so cheap so why bother doing anything to them.

at ford we had an Rental expedition with less than 5k miles that was returned with the whole bottom and hood covered in mud and the suspension had a big dent on the frame. these guys probably took it off roading down in baja.
teaches you one thing, never buy a car that was previously a rental.

The enterprise by us does oil changes regularly. I know because my shop handles all their work.

120 km/h = 74.5645431 mph
So, in fact the speedometer is in Km/h, but the conversion is right. 70mph in Low gear.

Come on guys, you know he is don't doing 70 in first, but in second... Lol. If you start out in D and go to 40 or so, then just put it back in first(1). the transmission will automatically shift in second. So the light on the dash says first, while he is really in gear 2. Yeah. i have tried it. Lol, also while you are at lets say 30MPH, put the car in R..... What happened?
Nothing, reverse wont engage in till the car is at like 2MPH. Kinda nice, really saves the transmission.

i was pulling into a friends driveway once... n was sorta rushing to park n get out... and i threw my shifter into Park right before the car to a complete stop.. n i heard it click thru the Park mechanism.. i got scared for a second thought i ****ed up my trans... but then i realized that automatics click like that if the wheels turn while in Park... hehe :D

You can keep it in L, it will still shift after hitting 7k rpm (I think that's the right rpm, I know it's right before the limiter)
So for you not so smart people:
If you keep it in L it'll still shift all the way to 4th, you just have to get the rpms right before the rev limiter and it'll shift.
I do this at the track

Yeah, I didn't proof read my post. The guy that worked for me, work at an Enterprise out at the airport, and they didn't do any maintenance, but there's one in Schenectady that does, this guy that used to work for the company I do worked for a Valvoline and scored an acct. with them. Not all, but some don't touch anything. So go ahead and flame the newb, I can take it.
