only1db 09-11-2004, 06:48 PM looks nice...but the port is way too long....its not going to sound as good...and the port should always face the way the sub is going. other then that it looks real nice :D

As soon as you come off those seats I bet. :D
playboyz28 09-11-2004, 10:07 PM Nice set up Tricked! I like your rear 6x9 speakers, what type are you running and where did you get that cool grill for them?
SuperGLS 09-11-2004, 10:25 PM I'm not much of an audio fan, but that looks really clean. Keep up the good work.
Tricked 09-12-2004, 09:57 AM looks nice...but the port is way too long....its not going to sound as good...and the port should always face the way the sub is going. other then that it looks real nice :D
It's not too long. The exact port length required is 11.5" and that's how long it is. It's just not all the way in the box. Maximum frequency with this setup is 23HZ. That's why the box has a 2.5' volume. I admit it would sound better with the port on the front, but I didn't want to ride around with the seats down all the time. Now I can put the seats up and still get great sound and no trunk rattle. So it's all built to spec.
clean man, clean...

hahaha! you got that right!
Nice set up Tricked! I like your rear 6x9 speakers, what type are you running and where did you get that cool grill for them?
I have Infinity reference 6x9s. I took the stock rear grills off the deck and cut holes to match the aftermarket grills. I then carpeted the rear deck with the box carpet. Now I never have to take the rear deck out to get to the speakers (common pain in the *** for GLS).
only1db 09-12-2004, 10:02 AM ah....catch ya....
i really like the rear deck and how everything is put in
Seinster 09-12-2004, 10:23 AM That looks hot.
Very unique, original and a clean install.
The only thing I don't understand is do you have to keep the rear seat down all the time?
Also if the seat was up, wouldn't the amp produce a lot of heat with nowhere to escape?

I don't need the rear seat down, with it up it creates sound similar to a sealed enclosure (tighter bass) with all the deep bass from the port. There is still clearance on the sides of the box so with the sub pounding there is enough airflow to pass over the amp. Anyways, I don't crank it to the max for hours on end....no need to. It's a daily driver so the longest it's on at one time is an hour. BTW, the amp has a digital temperature readout so I can tell how hot it gets.
When you gonna fix the link to Tricked Ride ???
mbv2001 10-25-2004, 10:29 AM What model is that alpine amp?
AvanteXD-CDN 10-25-2004, 10:51 AM Alpine MRD-M300. Its a mono class D for subwoofers.
Jlivan 10-25-2004, 11:14 AM Very clean - I wish mine was that neat ;)
slow 2K2GT 10-25-2004, 11:18 AM I wish I had a sedan just for the sound quality it produces with subs. I really hate the way they sound in the hatch, so I got reid of em. Very nice install, and good choice for an amp, Im a firm believer in Alpine stuff.
only1db 10-25-2004, 01:41 PM um...a hatch is better for SQ...because the bass can achieve a longer wave length...and its not muffled
slow 2K2GT 10-25-2004, 03:21 PM Yes I know, I should have mentioned that I was going for SPL with my last vehicle, I could never seem to reproduce the same numbers with the hatch. Sorry my bad.
Tricked 11-30-2004, 06:39 PM Well, it's not finished yet, but the first post updated.
clarion 11-30-2004, 06:46 PM looks great, the kit looks good w/o the holes on top, hows the ground clerance, what springs you used?
SuperGLS 11-30-2004, 07:08 PM Beautiful. Good luck finishing the kit up.
Oh, I'm still a fan of the black bottom'ed R34 kits though.
ilanpro 11-30-2004, 07:29 PM You need the grille back on it screw that H

Tricked 12-04-2004, 02:46 PM are you driving around with one taillight painted???

Of course....I can't be like every one else who has both of them looking the same.
mbv2001 12-04-2004, 02:49 PM That's real tight!
Be better with some leather =p
What's next for your car?
Tricked 12-04-2004, 02:57 PM Black tweed headliner along with moonroof shade (to match door panel inserts), black a, b, and c-pillar then Tibby seats (if I ever get them)
Tricked 12-04-2004, 03:54 PM yeah not bad...paint match could be better & a black bottom....hehe
For Silver, I think it's a pretty damn good match. The pics throw it off. ....the bottom is black. :D ;)
rckozma 12-04-2004, 10:48 PM That is really looking good Tricked.
jcr557 12-04-2004, 11:01 PM looking good, silver represent!
ilanpro 12-04-2004, 11:27 PM How's that rear badge for ya, huh?!
Sweet, I must say you need the Kspec taillight covers and you are done
krnsmartguy 12-06-2004, 03:35 PM i agree with clarion...the kit looks 11577894736896 times better without the top holes =P
Cyberz XD 12-06-2004, 07:56 PM nice mod on the speaker box, but what kind of wheels do you have tricked.
Tricked 12-07-2004, 02:43 PM REV Model X
SWortham 12-07-2004, 02:50 PM Looks excellent. You could use some thicker tires there, but it looks really good.
mbv2001 12-07-2004, 03:03 PM Are you going to be getting another
c/f hood?
Dropped02xd 12-07-2004, 06:12 PM nice work. :D
Tricked 12-07-2004, 08:56 PM Looks excellent. You could use some thicker tires there, but it looks really good.
I will. I'm just waiting for these piece of crap Nankangs to wear out. I'm looking into Kumho ASX in either 215 40 or 215 45.
SWortham 12-07-2004, 09:48 PM Hmm... I'm going to be getting rid of my 215/45-17 Kumho ASX tires along with my wheels. I don't really like these tires, although I guess you have to make compromises if you need an all season tire.
Tricked 12-08-2004, 06:37 PM Are you going to be getting another
c/f hood?
Nope. No more hood.
EVOXD 12-08-2004, 09:14 PM amazing car dude.
Choking Hazard 12-09-2004, 02:11 AM BTW: What wheels are those?

clarion 12-09-2004, 03:43 AM so what springs you used? i like the drop, or is your car too heavy
Josh K 12-09-2004, 04:37 AM Wow. I actually like the way the stock grille looks on your car. With all the mods, going back to the stock grill looks tasteful and elegant!
Tricked 12-09-2004, 09:36 AM so what springs you used? i like the drop, or is your car too heavy
I have Apex springs with Tiburon Ultrasport struts.
Wow. I actually like the way the stock grille looks on your car. With all the mods, going back to the stock grill looks tasteful and elegant!
I had to since my other got screwed up in the accident. I vowed to never again make another grill like that because it's such a pain in the ***. So much for that.
XTRAWLD 12-09-2004, 12:05 PM It's still a nice clean looking car
gyrex 12-11-2004, 05:44 AM wow... clean setup! car looks pimp too... how do u like the alpine amp?
Siphon1 12-11-2004, 08:28 PM Looks tight Tricked. How is the drop without the bodykit? I still havent put my apex springs on!
Tricked 12-11-2004, 09:45 PM wow... clean setup! car looks pimp too... how do u like the alpine amp?
Thanks! I love the amp, I just wish I had gotten the MRD-M500.
Looks tight Tricked. How is the drop without the bodykit? I still havent put my apex springs on!
It's really nice, especially with the tibby struts.
Elantra_GT 12-17-2004, 11:45 PM tight man really tight

SCROOGE 01-07-2005, 11:44 PM Nice car. I really like the kit
Tricked 08-27-2007, 09:55 PM A small taste of Ksport and Tiburon. When I can afford new wheels and tires, they will be 5 lug.:D
http://i181.photobucket.com/albums/x128/Trickedxd/Ksport.jpg
Tommy 08-27-2007, 10:37 PM needs to be lower, i think i can still fit my pinky between the arch and the tire.
KeWLKaT 08-28-2007, 01:27 PM why does your car look white in the picture?
Tricked 08-28-2007, 02:36 PM I had turned on my HID light that I will be mounted to the ceiling in my garage. That f-er is bright!
Tricked 06-26-2008, 02:58 PM Here a couple item I'll be adding to the car while it sits in the garage. Next will be a four channel amp (100x4 rms). Hopefully I won't need a sub but most likely that won't be the case.....gotta have the bump. It's slowly coming back together. Saving for paint so the front will be done finally. Then will be getting the modified 4-1 header ceramic coated and a custom 2.5" SS mandrel bent, flanged exhaust with a magnaflow cat and a dual 3" DTM tip muffler. All of this in hope of the NGM SC being installed. At least my mileage is staying less than 78K for an '01.:)
