my friends comin n were gonna try installing my old radio in her rav4, its a 2001, anybody got any pics of how to remove the dash piece to install the radio??? i googled it... but i cant find any pics... just forums on other topics.

if i remember correctly the vents on either side should pop off with clips. not the vent but the whole peice that the vent is attached to.

Here's step by step directions on how to remove the dash and all accessories. This is actually for removal of the instrument cluster, but it still works for what you need.

thanx for the reply guys, when she got here, i realized that the center piece if attached with 4 screws and then it just slides out... hehe

this was also the very first time ive installed an after market radio, by myself. did all the wiring and stuff myself. :D

no, i got some right infront of me. this is the first time ive ever done it, so im proud of myself :D especially since it actually worked when we tested it. :cool:
