:confused: I have cloth seats and wanted to get leather ones the thing is I don’t know if all the leather seats are power or if it matters…my seats are not power basically I just wanted to know if there are stock leather seats with out power that I can put in my car …thanks

You can do a couple of things.

1. Buy seats out of a GT/Limited 04-06 and swap them in. Easy.
2. Buy seats out of a GT 01-03 and swap them in. There might be some airbag connection concerns. Someone has done it though, and there is a post about it somewhere on here.
3. Get custom upholstery from something like www.autoleathers.com (Katzkin).

Leather vs cloth. And I believe the leather is different xd vs. xd2.

04-06 have a different wiring config for the airbags than the 01-03 ones. you could get the seats from an 03 tib if you have a o1-03 xd

im currently talking with a guy about getting the seat skins off his 03, since i have an 06 these will not work then??? i do not want to waste my money. not to be a guinea pig.

the foam/seats are the same. They changed to the perforated leather and slightly different color with the XD2

Right, silverelantra, you have nothing to worry about since you are only changing the upholstery. If you switch from XD2 seats to XD seats (the whole seat), is when you might run into the wiring difference.

And no, you can't generally buy the OEM leather upholstery, he is getting it from some other person, not a company/dealer.

You can go to the link I posted for custom aftermarket upholstery though.

Once you go with leather seats, you'll probably want to swap out the center console armrest, door inserts, etc. to the leather ones.

Why do you say that? Maybe it's different with Hyundai, but at the GM and BMW stores, you can order the upholstery for any seat. With the amount that the customers ***** about the smallest things, they'd be crazy to not let us get it separately.

at that point you might as well have it custom upholstered.

you can order them from any dealership or hyundai mobis. i am getting them from an ebay guy.
