How hard do you think a auto to manual swap would be in one of these cars?

It would probably be easier just to buy a manual tranny accent? BUt in response to your question. If you have all the parts you need and a good mechanical inclination(AND LOTS OF PATIENCE) it couldn't be all that hard to the swap.

oh and by the way are thinkin' BETA swap or what. If so I am putting you on my ignore list;) I can't wait to find the right donor car for this swap dammit!

Beta swap. Then the tranny and engine can be dropped right in, and since it has to be re-wired anyhow (if using the Elantra ECU), there you go. Doesn't the Alpha weigh the same as the Beta?

Shouldn't be hard Sean. Just find a donor car or hit up a junkyard.

Well, if the BetaI motor is used, everything is pretty much plug and play. With the Accent transmission, I would not have to change out axles or anything like this. Only time will tell, I'm still waiting for a phone call back.

The Accent will be bought tomorrow for $200. She blew the transmission in it!
