Good on ya, and now ya got a horseshoe nail for an arts an crafts project! If you were feeling extra industrious you could go down to the auto parts store and buy a tire plug kit and fix the tire yourself.( might be illegal in your area of the world) Never the less a good piece of get yourself out of a bind knowledge to have.

I'm willing to bet it came from a horseshoe? not that I'm an expert on these things, but it would seem that a horseshoe nail would come from..... a horseshoe! and how did you know that anyway?

good thing you didn't have performance tires on your car. dropping $90 on a tire sucks. I wish road debris would stay on the sidewalk or in the grass.

Wait wait wait... how old are you? You didn't know you had a spare tire?

Interesting. I've changed my wheels about 6 times (only 2.5 sets of wheels). I think when people buy a car they should have to learn how to change the wheels, charge the battery, and check the oil at the dealership. That would be awesome.

Ok so I haven't been able to be on in a while because of my new job so here is the answer to all of your questions.

(1) i got the horseshoe nail because I deliver pizza and there are several county addresses we go to that are on dirt roads. They are horse properties.

(2) i knew it was a horseshoe nail because my dad was helping me and he grew up on a farm. it had never been in a horseshoe yet because it was still straight so it probably fell off the guys truck when he went out to shoe the horse

(3) i'm 23 and i'm going to pull the chick card for not knowing i had spare

Aww thank you ^_^ i had to make AIM and yahoo messenger contacts for work so i chose lovemyxd. everyone keeps asking me "what's the xd for?" i'm excited to tell them and its all this forum's fault. i love you guys!

oh yeah! i just got my tax return so i'm buying some led's from ilanpro as soon as i can figure out how to work paypal and then i'll be able to do my first mod! i'm sooo excited and my list of car accomplishments is growing.

one last side note: they should pay us more for delivering on dirt roads!

glad you were able to get the tire changed, the funny thing is I've never had to change a flat on my own car (always on other people's cars)

Normally i would have taken it to a tire place and said "can you fix this for me?" but it was sunday and they were closed >_< i couldn't even figure out how to install my new windshield wipers the other day.

hopefully my car confidence will get built up with all the stuff i plan on having you guys help me with ^_^

don't feel bad about the wipers, I've seen grown men, who are quite adept at mechanical things, get brought down by something as simple as a set of wipers! those clips can be a pain! esp if one is broken?!?!? just keep plugging away, and I'm sure you'll get better than most of the guys on here in no time. you need to remember something, for every thing you think you can't do, there's someone on here who thinks they can, but can't, so you will succeed by learning where they will fail from ignorance.

Good deal on the tire fix.I had a nail in my tire with less than 200 miles on it.I was pissed.I plugged it and it has lasted almost 2 years and 27000 miles. You will learn alot of stuff around here.

i was actually kinda worried about how long it would last. it says its only supposed to be a temporary fix but how long is temporary? so far so good but its only been a week

I plug tires all day everyday.Hardly ever see one comeback.I have seen people come in the dealership with all kinds of stuff in their tires.Nails, wood, sharp arrowhead like rocks. It's amazing
