has anyone done this before?
taken out the side markers and covered up the whole and painted it...?
side marker delete u could call it.
as far as i can tell, theyre not terrible necessary, especially on the XD since the front turns light up forward and to both sides.
if/when i get my body work and paint job done, i may consider doing this.
what do u guys think? i got the original idea from the tuscani bumper for the XD.

Well, I think it would look cool probably. They are there for a reason though (you know, laws and stuff). I doubt it would cause any problems with the police if you didn't have them though. I don't think that would be something that they would notice.

You know you can get clear ones, right?

you could have your long short ram intake come out of the hole...wow i gotta let it go
i would fill those sidemarker holes up and u know what else would like crazy since your doing body work???? have the muffler come out of the side of the car behind the rear tire...

im no fan of the side exhaust.
and the side LSRI wouldnt work because the holes would be too small... and i kno this, because I KNO THE DIMENSIONS OF MY FILTER!!! heehhehehe :D
and i might have to buy a under amour condom to repel rain... lol

Its like Cold!!!!, No, but im totally digging this idea. But, how? What are you going to do with the back red ones? it will look all sideways, and what not? But i love the idea! You know, you could right books, and then move away from the Sonata........ ;) Ohh....

anyway...theres just something that makes our cars look soooo much cleaner without the sidemarker all together
if you cant do that, clear sidemarkers, or blacked out sidemarkers look good, and those led's look good man

Personally, i like to be seen at night. Smoked with super bright LEDs is the way to go. But then again i have black molding so the smoked would bring it closer in color match.

I like the look of the clear marker's too. I wanted them really bad only to find out they were never made for my GT. Tint was the next option so I had to do that instead. They look great on the silver as well (the clear marker's that is.)

I'm not sure how well filling that sidemarker hole will stand up. That is a flexible piece of of the car (the plasticy-rubbery bumper piece) and a good knock/bump could make the body filler pop right out.

yeah, i was also thinking about that last night.

If you're getting the tib bumper, aren't the sidemarkers deleted anyway?

yes yes, they are, which is where i got my idea from, to do to the stock bumpers. and im not "GETTING" it... i would LIKE to get it, eventually.

Just paint the sidemarker body color and stick it back in. I personally like the clear ones with white LED's. It's got a good look to it at night.

Dude... it's a slight body mod, not like they said "Wonder how sweet a 3-foot wing with neons and a Type-R badge would look on my Hyundai". :bang:
Personally I think clear is subtle but nice.

Ok, everyone take a step back and consider the situation. He is asking for opinions to do something in perticular. If you don't have anything good to bring to the thread and feel like bashing him, stay away.
Notice I didn't post myself, lol.

Clear marker are fine. I like em. Especially H.I. LED setups. Spray painting marks lenses? haha. That is worse than adding a 3 foot wing although may be aas bad as a type R badge.
BTW, I say a "type R" badge on a 1st gen rx7. I couldn't understand why. I have the pics some where.

Isn't that what everyone has been sharing? Opinions?

Listen, I like you. You look like you could bring something intelligent to the forums. But attitude like this is NOT an opinion, it's bashing.
Now. If you have anything else to say that is off topic, PM me. Thank you, and have a good day.

Yes but that wouldn't work, as the XD GLS bumper doesn't have a black molding.
than, clear + smoked/tinted
I got a pair of clear sidemarkers for sale :)

Clear to me is the best option.
I have an XD GT, it's black, I tinted the sidemarkers in the front, and they almost don't show in the daylight.
But, if you reflect light off of them, it doesn't even look like they're tinted. Of course at night they are very visible.

I like both clear and clear tinited. It really depends on the rest of the body though and how you make the "look" flow with the rest of the car.
