My front windshield was hit with a rock and splintered across the front. I just got two quotes ($350 and $550). Awesome!

I have 2007, so I'm assuming that that is the reason for it costing so much. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get it replaced without costing an arm and leg?

I have coprehensive ins. Could it be coverd there?

Depends on what your comprehensive deductible is.

If your deductible is only $100, then that would better for you. If it's $500 or above, don't even bother making a claim and just pay out of pocket.

Seeing as it's a 2007, which is probably low in supply and high in price, +$300 is probably correct. I'd try to see what the difference was for $200 between the 2 places. Crappy windshields are teh suck, looks like you're looking through a fun-house mirror at certain angles.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I just called the dealer and he said $450 and he gets his windshield from a 3rd party.

Looks like its going to be around there.
