: Project Car - '76 and '77 Monte Carlo

Well, last night The Engine has been pulled out of the '76, and the transmission will come out on Sunday. I'm pretty excited as I had to pry the torque convertor to keep it away from the engine, whoo, that was fun. Once everything is pulled out of the 76 M.C. I will push that car out of my garage, and then push the blue one (which is a '77), and then its time for some fun, and put everything back in after it's cleaned, and put some chrome on it, of course. So many things are planned for this car, I just wish money wasn't a issue. I'm just lucky the guy that is helping me, works for Tire-Rama, and can get me some good deals on some tires/rims. He wants me to get Spinners, think that is a great idea? I think though, I will go with some Crager SS's, to give it the muscle look. (Picture will be provided at the bottom of a Crager SS)

The paint job is actually pretty good on the '77, I just don't like it that much. But once I wax it, I will decide whether or not to get a paintjob, of course, it would be Metallic Medium or Dark Blue. It will look pretty sweet. But to keep it factory looking, and the hood emblems/pin was missing, so I will buy a new one for it. But once everything get's finished, It will look pretty sweet, I just can't wait for someone to ask me to pop my hood. I pop it, and they see, chrome, and just chrome. People will be jealous already, I know everyone is already. Uh, yeah.

The Engine is going to be real nice and chrome. I bought a chrome engine kit for a rather decent price. Then I purchased a chrome air filter, and a chrome engine fan to match the chrome. So, if anyone can think anything else that can be chromed, care to say? But as I move from the engine, to the interior, I bought two bucket seats from an El Camino, so I will have some center room for my floor shift. Yes, I am switching it to a floor shifter, because I like it like that. Also, I'm looking at some Dashboard restoration kits for the M.C. so I can get it back to stock, but once it's done, it probably won't look too stock, as I will be taking out the old AM/FM Cassette, and dremmel/drill a cd player type of shape for my Panasonic that I will be buying. I have a Amp, from Sonic, it's pretty nice, along with a sub-woofer. My mom's friend got it, boy, aren't I spoiled? Once I am done, I am hoping my whole interior is nice and clean. Then I will be buying some nice speakers to put in the trunk that will run into the inside of my car. So that pretty much covers the interior. The person who is helping me restore my M.C. tried convincing my mom into letting us buy a Nitrous system, but she got a tad mad when we asked. Heh, that's what I get, I guess. So, No NOS For it...yet. But NOS is less of my concern right now.

Well, transmission went out like planned, so now it's time for the cleaning :-/ Anyways, I took pictures of the engine, tranny, the parts laying everywhere, and so on...

More will be added later, and I will be giving a bigger update on it tonight.

Here are some of the things I am purchasing or buying¬

Suggestions and maybe give some good company websites that would help me, with maybe my interior, or something with the engine, or what not, will help me a lot. Thanks!

Get a Eldebrock intake manifold and 4 bbl carb, a high performance HEI ignition system with chrome wire hold downs, paint the new water pump, thermostat housing and small parts black and get a chrome oil pan and timing chain cover.
