you can use the sylvania silverstars they look clear but blink in amber. you cannot put a clear bulb in and have it blink clear you will get stopped by the police for sure. Did you get you tint yet?

New jersey has messed up laws/police I was in Elizabeth last summer and got pulled over while a group of guys beat some guy down on the corner, 15 feet in front iof my car the cop did nothing but yell at me for my 3rd brake light being tinted.
I forgot today was a holiday. I tried to go into the post office earlier to ship some more out.

I guess ill take the chance I dont really care. They go past me with my 10,000k hids every night and dont do anything. Oh and I might add that the kid with the bmw got pulled over last night for having a headlight out....so in order to pull into the parking lot i was in he had to use his white turn signal in front of the cop. so i guess they dont care that much? all depends i guess, as usual

I have super white signal bulbs in the front. Cops have seen them b/c I have been across from them.....no probs here. There is also a bulb that is chrome/amber. When it's not on it chrome and then blinks amber or maybe a LED bulb. I currently have chrome amber for the rear signal bulbs but will change them to chrome/red.

Just wondering if it is ok to have red front and rear turn signal light?? Cause some cars come out with red turn signal light in stock...

I wouldn't take the chance of putting red or blue lights on the car. I know here you would get pulled over for those colors.

What about those cars that come with red signal lights as stock??

That's exactly what I have. They match the tail/brake lights perfectly and pass NJ inspection. I've had them for over 5 years.

Red is legal in the rear. Look at the Lexus RX300. The tails are completely clear but use red LEDs.

In the front, only amber or white is legal.
I also got a letter from NJ DMV stating that underbody neons are legal as long as they are not the color of emergency vehicle lights (i.e. red or blue). I thought about getting an amber under body kit, but exterior neons kinda got played out.

They are 1157 bulbs (with two filaments.) The fronts are 1156 (with one filament) I just replaced mine with SilverStars. They look great.

Yeah, the rear turns and reverse are only single filament. The brake/tails are dual. He just got it backwards.

the legal colors in VA (which i found is most states)
cars before 1970 front and rear legal colors: amber, red, yellow
after 1970: amber, red
all other colors are illegal, but cops are more concerned with if they are working or not... that is what an officer told me when i asked him about it one day when i had my 01 gls
