First I have to say, KSPEC rocks!! I ordered the manifold last week and it came in yesterday! I'm so happy with their service. I got email updates all along the way of my order. I think they are truly trying to turn things around.
Back to the manifold. This is one of the prettiest and most well built manifolds I've ever seen. It is truly a work of Art!! Pics are in my gallery below

Great looking manifold Dave. Can't wait to see it on your car.

Dont really like how 2 runners pretty much crash in perpendicular to the desired flow path.

yah kinda crapy for flow and all but its not like he's gonna make 500-700 whp so it wont matter.

You'd be surprised, he's way over 300whp at the moment....

IMO deffinetly over analyzing too much. Lots of people run log manifolds even, which do the job, but having equal length runners you can't really get better than that manifold. I don't see how its crappy for flow, looks like you have each of the runners merge into one, then merge into a collector. Pretty money in my oppinion. Plus equal runners... you can't really get much better...

Matt will be viewing the manifold first hand tonite so he'll let you all know how good this thing is. I'm VERY impressed and I don't impress easily. :)

I'm not saying it is a bad manifold, they may have been forced to sacrifice their design for clearances or other reasons. but if you look at it, a pair of runners merges perpendicular to the desired flow path.
that means that as the air from those runners travels into the collector, its going to have to make an abrupt change in direction to force itself out into the scrolling vane.
a pressurized pipe is carrying a finite amount of energy (referred to as pressure head), and things like internal pipe friction, bends, etc all leech energy from your piping system, reducing the ability of the fluid in the pipe's capability to do work in a mechanical system (such as a turbine).
sharp 90deg transitions like the one in question have roughly three times the head loss of a regular pipe elbow (Fundamentals Of Fluid Mechanics. Munson, Young, Okiishi).
In the grand scheme of things, that loss may only equate to a couple of horsepower, but its still a performance compromise....thats all I was saying

Katching! Hit it right on the head.

So, is it installed yet?

sometimes i wish i would have gone turbo instead of building for a s/c, but that manifold looks great, cant wait to see it installed.

Looks nice, though im a little surprised that you arent using an external gated turbo yet.

I ported the wastegate opening on the GT28 so it should be good up to 450whp or so. Yes it was installed, but I decided to go ahead and finish the build on my spare engine and drop it in my car before racing season starts.

those maintec manifolds are just baller, i wish i could afford one of those.

looks real nice. but i agree, from a performance aspect, it could be better.
but based of straight looks, id do naughty things to it!
