how difficult is it to remove the front fenders? and is it something that one can do without taking the car into a shop?

some jackass put a dent in my driver side front fender last night after i parked it(i park on the street in the city here). i already have a dent in the passenger side front fender that i've been meaning to get around to fixing. someone had told me on a post a few weeks back that i just needed to remove the fender and flatten out the dents with a rubber hammer but i have no clue how to get the fenders off.

its very very easy just look for the bolts and take them off and pull the fender off

Its 5-6 bolts. 10mm, I believe. Very easy.

yup... theres like 3 or 4, ontop just under where the hood closes... then theres one hidden upside down underneath the headlight just a lil to the side. n the rest i think is all in the wheels well.

There's four on top, two attached to the bumper, two under the car rocker panel, and one attached behind the door (open the door and look, you'll see it.)

thanks guys :D

on a dent-related note, how much does a small thing of color-matched touch-up paint from the dealer usually run? there's a couple scrapes on the new dent, and my front and back bumpers have multiple flakes missing from bad parkers as well(i feel like some of these bastards must be drunk) :smiley_ab

About 10$ for the touch-up pen. Don't use the clear-coat.

i feel your pain bro ... sucks how easy it is to damage 'em.

i took a second look at the new set of dents, almost look like somebody kneed the fender two or three times. gd crackheads all around my block :wtf:

Insurance claim????

And as for how easily these cars get chips and whatnot. I had the car for about 2 weeks when my wife backed into a pole. Not just any pole, a lone pole in the middle of a parking lot and we weren't even parked close to it. We start backing up and she smacked it hard. All I thought was F*CK ME there was a vette parked close and we just killed it. lol
