I have an 01' GLS it got hit in the front end about 6 months ago and finally got all the parts to finally fix it. The car is currently "Champagne" color and I was thinking about painting it something different. What do you think? Keep it the same. The first color that came to mind was murdering the car and painting it flat black, tinting the windows, and getting black rims.

you could do kind of a two tone, leave the champagne on the bottom, and do gloss black on the top, going along the body line.

Yeah, like that:abovelol:
But seriously, the 2-tone sounds good. I think maybe a darker brown if 1 color remains champagne though.

no the dude was on here, I'm not searching right now, because I'm trying to go to bed, and everyone just keeps posting stuff so i HAVE TO READ IT LOL! I think he was from holland, it was factory silver on top, and factory charcoal on the bottom, and it had a lip, it was hot.

yeah, that's the guy, something like that, but the lighter color on the bottom.
ElantraNL had two tone, cornbreadXD had two tone, and mystic elf had two tone.
I'm thinking about doing two-tone, dunno yet...
Rice it up with racing stripes!

+1 on champ. and black that would look very nice esp. with bronze wheels. but be advised a good paint job is really expensive unless you "know someone" prep the car right and the car will almost paint itself

What colors do you like? The flat black might look good with those accompanying mods. I would paint it a steel gray type color. Like the Sonata gray.

I'm trying to keep it as far away from rice as possible so the two tone is out of the question. I'l do the painting myself, I've painted alot of cars. I painted my rocket flat black and it looks sick so I'm trying to figure it out. I just got to make sure I'm going to not sell the car for a long time if im going to paint it flat black.

yeah, it'll be cool flat black, but if you want to get rid of it you'd have to wait a few years so you could tell people it's primer. it's easier for most people to understand that, not everyone "gets" flat black. I think it's sick. would you go totally matte? or use that new flat clearcoat they have? I think the flat clearcoat would be easier to take care of and even though it has a little more "gloss" than a total matte finish, it'd still look really sick.

I'm just curious as to why you call this rice? Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but I am confused.

i can see where it could be considered rice. but you have th champagne color which makes the elantra look so clean. i say just leave it the champagne color. go for some simple mods and keep it looking clean.

Actually that looks almost elegant, luxury style.

depends i personally hate calling anything rice, but i could see from an outsiders perspective, or even an older persons persective where it could be considered "rice"
