http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/car/575422874.html Why is this only $9,000?

Because it's almost 16 YEARS OLD!!!
Seriously, the car was $25k new in 93. Why would a hacked up, ratted out beat on version be worth 40% of it's original value when it';s that old?

Also, no mileage given. As nice as it is, seems like it could be a case of buying someone elses problem.

My guess is, there's a reason they're getting rid of it. Just like xdforme22 said, pawning off a problem onto someone else.
i think its purdy
and well, some people are willing to buy a problem, if that problem isnt being lied about and is actually in the 600hp range. some people just see the hp and the price and sort of forget about everything else..
i have a buddy like that.. nothin like dropping 10k on a mustang that will cost you 10k more in the next few years :P

i bet when you start the engine oil comes out of the heater vents or something else outrageous like the turbo really has a 'Tornado' in the housing

naw an auto is fine for a supra like that there was a 12.2 second supra at my "local" drag strip that was an auto tranny

It's fine if all you want to do is drive a 1/4 mile in a straight line all the time.

If it was a manual, the guy probably wouldn't be getting rid of it. But he already has a white one possibly and a 350z. So a case of to many.
And Bob, people are willing to pay for these tuner cars. In the past couple of years, i've been seeing the price rise on the 89-94 240sx. Average asking price has risen $1k, and a junker will go for up to 1k.

9 grand really isn't bad for that car. the interior looks original, and clean, as long as there's no rust underneath, the title is clean and it doesn't have half a billion miles on it, this would be a good buy. I'm not quite sure why it's listed as a "93-98" though, unless it's pieced together from a coupla cars, and didn't they stop making them in 97 or some crap like that? also, I'm not sure about the 600 hp statement, esp on a japanese auto box, seems a little shady there. it being an auto isn't all bad though, because some of y'all gotta remember, some of us are nice with a stick, but have body parts that don't work so well anymore, so the extra pedal isn't practical anymore (so lay off the slush box whores! lol).

Its a single turbo conversion and it makes 325hp with the stock twins. 600hp is easily attainable with a nice sized turbo and basic upgrades.

it looks good maybe if it was manual it would be more worth it.
if anyone has a carfax account you can use vin on it
