my neighbor agreed to install new springs and struts, a new clutch and a new differential on a 1992 240SX.

he called asking for help, so I went to work, assuming that there was some real money involved....

we did all of this, then I find out he agreed to do this for FIFTY ****ING DOLLARS.
I wouldnt do that Kind of work for jesus for $50.
and this guy's car had a tranny leak, so everything was covered with black sludge.
im going to lecture him, then kill him, then lecture his parents, then his dead body.

its very irritating that he is so stupid sometimes, though Im just as bad for not asking about money up front.

oh well, he owes me a day of labor since I essentially worked for free for him... :kick:

If your neighbor doesn't even know how to perform the work, why's he agreeing to fix someone's car to begin with?

Doesn't sound like he was fixing cars. Just installing new equipment. But yeah he shouldn't even be doing that. I guess the topic tells you the answer.

if It makes any of you feel any better, his FULL TIME JOB is a repair technician for a local ford dealer. in all honesty, all i did was pull the transmission, do the struts and springs, then put the transmission back, which was kind of a pain since I'd never done it before, then bleed the clutch. at least everything worked first time. its just that the last thing I wanted to do while trying to recover from being sick was be under a car doing the transmission.

I was pretty suprised that he got the clutch adjusted right and it worked smoothly.
