Got back from the laser shop today with about 14 sets of these made. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it! First-ever perfectly laser-etched angel eyes for the GK Tiburon:
Full ring, off, from the front.

Detail of laser notching, on the back. You just can't be this precise without a $16,000 laser!!!

And how it looks from the front. Perfectly spaced, and an incredible look!

Gotta just put LEDs in them and call it a day! The laser is so cool, theoretically, you could even etch your name or "Tuscani" or lightning-bolts in them!
Advantages to laser-cutting:
The notches are perfectly spaced, done with AutoCAD.
because there is no etch that is thicker than the next one, very little light is lost, making them slightly brighter than normal angel eyes.
It takes about 3 minutes to do three rings, as opposed to about 2 minutes a ring with a mechanical jig or 5 minutes a ring with a dremel.
It looks so professional!
Disadvantages:
More expensive! But I'm eating the cost for now!
Here's one pic in the shop, getting anxious so we took a red LED flashlight thing and just shined it toward the ring, in good indoor light, it lit up well. Can't wait to get LEDs in and check it out!

I know you guys won't really care much but I'm excited!!! If Munky sends me his rings I'll spend the $$$ to get it set up for that size and do some Elantra rings, if there's enough interest!
