My weekend

so i got a lot of stuff done this weekend and i wanted to share! on saturday i pulled the door chime all by myself ^_^ had my vin etched into my windows and took the tib to get it done too. then i had my nails done and went to work. this morning i got the interior lights to make them blue and an air filter. i was going to get the O2 sensor but it was like $80 so that will have to wait. got my eyebrows done and then came home, installed the lights, and changed the air filter again all by myself.

i know its all minor stuff but i'm super excited that i'm learning how to do everything.

ok just for the record i HAD to get my nails done because it had been more than 2 weeks since my last fill and they were seriously overgrown! besides i have not comparison shopped the o2 sensor and i wasn't going to drop the 80 bucks if i can get a better deal elsewhere ^_^

the map lights are really bright but they put off a very nice blue tint in the car

the dome light is actually a gel sleeve over the original light. they didn't have the right size. the map lights are actual blue bulbs. i'm thinking about looking for the sleeves for those too but i need to be able to read addresses on receipts at night so i'm not sure.

as far as your rubber caps go... uhm, i honestly... wouldnt do it, cuz sometimes, the rubber gets really hot, n could cause some problems, i had those rubber caps on my license plate bulbs once... n now all my ****s melted up back there, n the bulbs were charred.

so im never trying any rubber/gel caps ever again, id prefer NOT to burn down my car.

since u need the light to read at night, leave it as is, it looks GREAT!

it looks a lot better in person anywayz. maybe if we ever have a meet somewhere i don't have to drive 3k+ miles to get there everyone can see it ^_^ of course then everyone else would be driving the 3k+ miles

pete, you do know there are quite a few bulbs that use the rubber "condom" deal to change the color, right?

my integra had a ****load of them for the gauge cluster. when i had to change one bulb, i had to replace like 4 caus you cant really buy them like that at autozone

yeah my dodge had them through out the whole car and they were kinda thick so melting wasn't a problem, i think thin "condoms" or ones you can tear apart are the ones that can melt from the heat

yes yes, ofcourse, ive been in n out of my gauge cluster more than i can count, but im saying, when i used red caps for my license plate bulbs, next time i took it out, the plastic was melted, the rub and bulbs were almost black, gave me a scare, so im not doing that again. they might have been too thick, oem ones r very thin, so idk if that makes a difference.

i went to autozone today and got my silverstar turning bulbs ****en finaly and the guy said those caps are for when the lights are off, or else they would melt on the dam bulbs. lol
