I am getting one of these and am not sure if everyone has seen them before.
They are mini led flashlights that go in the cigarette lighter. This is a great idea just in case you need a flashlight. I have a '04 and the front has 2 lighter sockets. One is for my cell phone charger and the other is not used since I don't smoke...this is a great replacement than an unused lighter.

Plus it is only about $26.

Take a look and let me know what you think.

The VW part number is 7L6947175A

Mini LED? Sounds like they were saying they're halogen. Cool idea though.

That does sound good. I've been looking for a cig lighter replacement since I've had the car. Buy me one too :)

That's awesome, but I think a Sirius Satellite Radio is a better use of the Lighter!!! haha, but I might just have an unfair biased

That's awesome. Would be great to have considering I don't smoke.

Is there anything like that that isn't $25? I have a hard time spending more than about $10 for an accessory I'll only use once in a blue moon, but I really like the idea.

I like that the one shown above isn't much bigger than the cig lighter it replaced. I've seen much bigger ones, but I don't want somehting that is distracting.

Pretty cool..too bad I have to use the cig lighter for the cell phone charger. (Put on a larger battery that on longer fits in the desk charger, so the only way I can charge the phone).

The size on that light is nice; I've never seen one that fit so well in the lighter outlet but I don't know if it's worth the extra $$.

I got a bigger one that Target sold 6 months ago for under $10. If you don't mind having a larger housing. around and you should be able to find them at auto parts stores or department stores much cheaper.

Did you get one yet? If so, is it a good fit?

Haven't gotten it yet. I am thinking twice about a $30 flashlight I will rarely use.

I'll probably get one -- I just hope it fits nicely and doesn't look out of place. I agree $30 is a lot for something you rarely use, but everytime I've been in my car and really *NEEDED* a flash light, I probably would have been willing to pay $30 for one at that time.

Yes, you could just put a $3 flashlight in your glovebox, but that's not nearly as sexy.

I just keep a Maglite in the glovebox

Wow... IMO that's a lot of money for a plug for your cigarette lighter outlet that doesn't do anything. The shiny aluminum does look nice, though.

Don't tell my wife. Her car already has dolphins all over it. Don't ask.

 Wow, that light is really bright for something so small.

Yea, its really cool..has like a projector lens on the front so when you shine the light, looks like projectors.. and its very very bright for what it is..and when you drive, just leave it plugged in the car..keeps her charged..:)

In my opinion, its a very handy item..but kinda pricey..but i guess thats what you get for VW stuff.
