First Hyundai

My wife and I just bought our first BRAND NEW car ever. We chose to go with the 2008 Hyundai Elantra SE 5spd manual. Small pic as avatar larger pix to come.

now that its 08 the hds are growing on me also, i wasnt a fan when they were initially released

Yeah, when I first saw them I didn't like it, but the Incus kit changed my mind.

There is hope for it yet.

No big plans.... YET...

Will get windows tinted... add some bass... I like the sound of the audio system for a stock set.. but needs more bass...

Some of you mentioned "HD" what does that stand for?

no offense but I dont like the new style only because its too close to the toyota corolla, which is a fine car but I was never able to get comfortable inside and the ergonomics are just awkward for me. My girlfriend drives one and I always feel like flooring the car which makes for a hectic ride. Thats why I went with the xd, that and I wasn't sure I could finance a new car lol, anyway yeah the xd wins me over in the end with its slight angling of the controls towards the driver kind of like an old school SAAB without the break down issues.

HD is the chassis code for the new Elantra models......like 01-03 XD, 04-06 XD2, 07-08HD.

I would like the HD a lot more if the new 09 models show up with the 2.4L Theta II engine in them. Would have awesome power and fuel mileage.
