so we got some insane snow for the area over the last day. from the news, the last time we got a blizzard warning was 1987, so that shows how rare it is. i know this isnt much to people up north, but i had to snap some pics
1/5 of bacardi big apple. i dont have a tape measure, so i had to get something to put into perspective. id say snow here 12-14" deep

theyve got my county at level 2, which is "stay in unless necessary to go out"...i dont know if it will make it to a 3...they say the snow is supposed to be ending soon. we just decided to stay in all day, and play super mario brothers on SNES over the last 6-7 hours

Yeah... I want some. Nice pics.
All we got was a bunch of rain.
I was hoping for a good snow storm this year, but it's looking less and less likely now. Although back in the 90's we got a pretty big one in March.

lol sounds like fun, but be careful.
i drifted down a street once (not on purpose) and i was literally drifting, from side to side... and thankfully i managed to stay in control n recover from the side to side sliding n continue driving. woot for mad skillz yo! lol

Well, I drove thru that blizzard. Went down I40 from Memphis, TN to Little Rock, AR. I enjoyed the snow when i finally got to my destination. Ya it was only 3in at my destination but when you come from FL, you take what you can get. However, the trip down I-40, esp for ~50mile stretch where the heaviest bands were going across according to my dad who was watching weather.com, was not fun. All concentration was on driving and staying behind semis who were basically plowing paths (i did not get pics of the heaviest sector)

But as i said, it was beautiful when i finally arrived.

And FYI, i have summer rated UHPs with about 10k of mileage wear. I tried stopping at a rest area, and just tapping the brakes starting it slipping in the exit ramp (and the car parking was yet another hard right), so i gave up on that idea, went thru the truck area, and i barely got going again as it was slipping some while trying to accelerate. And no i don't have ABS or traction control either.
Oh and first time i've ever driven in that type of inclement weather.
PS: Thank god for a 2.0mp camera phone

^^^haha, just cause your used the to frozen tundra's of the great north dosent mean you can just waltz up here and call it pussy snow lol
i saw 2 semi's stuck and one of them had a sem-tow truck pulling it and the tow truck was stuck. i think that qualifies as a good snow day.

It's still pussy snow... It didn't stop me lol.. I drove to dayton for a concert in this **** in 4 hours lol.. usually takes probably an hour and a half..
Seen the show, Amazing show by the way,
Then it took 2 hours to get back to springfield, which is usually a 45 min drive...
The next day I ventured back home for another 2 hours lol... The only place I got stuck was in my driveway lol... Fun stuff... All in all during Friday/Saturday, I drove 10 hours in this ****... Fun stuff...

lol they had 6 plows going on a 2 lane road today out in the suburbs. police escort and everything, fraklin county dosent **** around when it comes to snow
It's funny how just a few miles apart made a huge diff. I live north of Evan, and we have 22in in my front yard and a drift in the back that is at least 3ft deep. The XD is just a huge pile of snow now, I dug the Van out and went out playing around the neighborhood, AWD is the best. Cbus handled this storm pretty good, they even got over and plowed out my street, and thats only fourth time a plow has went through my area in the 9 yrs I've lived there.
i went to a concert on Saturday and the headlining band (the dreaming, fronted by chris hall lead singer from stabbing westward) was supposed to play at 9:45. They made an announcment at 9:40 they might not make it, then within 2 min of that announcement they showed up.
Apparently they were traveling from rochester to pittsburgh and got stuck in this thing. apparently a tow truck was stopped in the middle of the road and it was 1. slide into him or 2. swerve.. So they swerved and slid into a ditch, luckily the tow truck pulled them out, and charged them 200$ even though he was the one blocking the road 100% and caused the accident in the first place! and of course the blew a tire on their trailer and had to gimp it to the nearest exit for repair hah..
anyway, yeah. i was supposed to hit the bar after the show but around midnight on sat here in pgh it was pretty "butt" out. Not a foot of snow or anything lol, but a winter mix that made the roads slippery as baby "turd". so i got a call that everyone was leaving the bar cause the roads were so "butt" they wanted to get home before it got worse..
Dreaming was awesome by the way, and they played "save you" from stabbing westward and it was so good i needed a change of pants. Also i got a picture with chris hall :D

^when it gets like that in my area.. i just stay in that day lol
or i make my way to the car to try and go find a parking lot without a ton of snow drift and have some fun :D
.. course its only been like that a couple times in the past 5 years ive been driving, heh, and i complain about the weather here in pgh..
Thanks guys, for showing me i dont have it all that bad really
