Side markers = 194
Dome/Map lights... don't know. I soldered many non-standard LEDs there.

the festoons used by the xd2's are a lot brighter just because of how the led's are arranged. thats what the first picture is. 194's are not all that bright really...

exactly. ur best bet, is to buy a 194 socket with a wider array of leds attached to it, but then u might have fitment issues.

There are ebay ones that have 3 LED's built in the "bulb". I have inverted ones that I purchased from Pepboys for $7.99 (I got pulled over and ticketed for ones that had gone out and needed a quick replacement).

I just tried taking out my burnt out bulbs on my license plate and the screws are kind of hard to get to. Do i need to remove the 4 screws on the trunk garnish first?

okay so I got my bulbs and they were too long and did not fit in the plastic fixture above the license plate. So for now i just put them in my clear sidemarkers and they are bling blingin. Any suggestions on how to make them fit above my license plate? hmmmm http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v231/pumpkinbelt/superwhitesidemarker.jpg

^LOL that is bright!
I have a 39mm (1-1/2" Long) 9 LED bulb like this for the dome light:

You can fit a 194 in the map light, I think when I exchanged them out there was a larger bulb similar to a 7443 or 7440 but a 194 LED will fit nice.

I have 194 bulb for my license plate too but it's a chrome/super white bulb. I bought the regular 194 LED bulb and it was too loose so I went back to the 194 chrome/super white bulb like this:

The outcome of the chrome/super white bulbs are like this:

I would like to put a LED bulb b/c I would like it a little bit brighter.
