Marshall Brain, left, and a Hyundai employee in “Who Knew?”
...it’s the machines that excite Mr. Brain, and that provide the show’s most arresting moments. In a coming episode [March 27th (http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/ET/popup/200803272100.html)] the images of towering robots soldering together parts of Hyundai automobiles, the machines madly dipping and swiveling like a troupe of dervishes, are spookier than any “Terminator” movie.
An old college buddy of mine makes it to the big time. Marshall Brain, the founder of HowStuffWorks.com (http://www.howstuffworks.com) now has his own show on National Geographic Channel called Who Knew? (http://channel.nationalgeographic.com/channel/ET/popup/200803132100.html)
He lived in the room next to mine at the fraternity when we were undergrads. I once rode in the bed of his pickup truck for 300 miles to get home to Buffalo for Christmas break.
And yes, Marshall Brain is his real name!
