Im looking for a good reliable turbo kit but i dont know what to get. Im looking at the Alpine Turbo and the SFR stage 1 set. The SFR set is looking good up to 180hp gain. I would like to know more about the Alpine turbo set they dont give much info on there site or any other site. Can somebody with an Alpine turbo give me there opinion on the turbo and the piggyback ECU or site that will tell me more. If there is any other turbo kits i should be looking at can somebody list them plz and the sites. Plus there is a 50 shot of nitrous i will be useing with the turbo.

Alpine = garbage.

The company recently fled to Africa, stealing money and not shipping products.

Also as per my signature you must understand I hate the company.

SFR isn't garbage, but a lot of people have problems with it. The best option is going custom.

SFR or ebay kit. You can also buy a OBX/maintec/system/ Kspec mainifold with a garret/ turbonetics/ebay hybrid turbo and go custom and buy the FMIC piping and intercooler to mahonroy.

im looking at a Garrett GT28R and GT28RS. It gives me more power then what i was looking for and after adding everything a good low price. I just dont know what its going to cost me on the install and get the car tuned. Can somebody give me what the cost would be around for that.

Also with this turbo im thinking i shouldnt use the 50shot. I pray i dont go boom each time and with this turbo I could be pushing my luck. My buddy said go with a bigger turbo but thats more then i want and more i will need to do to engine so that it can take it. My plan is to reach 250 horsepower and then i will see if i want more.

There is a problem with this post...... you said you want a "Good Reliable Turbo Kit" unfortunately that wont happen. If NGM finishes his S/C kit thats been over a year in the making, then that will be the most reliable forced induction for a beta motor. other than that dont think about going boosted if you want to keep your elantra a reliable daily driver.

For tuning with your ECU I would not suggest spraying into the motor, if you want to use nitrous then you should use it to cool your IC and intake temps...just my .02

Thanks for the help. im going to check out 2 shops in my area and see what they can do to get more power out of this car without a turbo and just the nitrous i have. I know i can do alot more only have short ram intake, muffler and the nitrous. I guess ill start with a full exhaust.

I cam across this tib on my hyundai turbo search. i know this is not an elantra but this D2M tib is sweet
