even though most people say the fuel system is good for 300 hp .i know thats for N/a steup, but i was told the 290cc injectors are good up to 3 psi ..not 5 psi and that i cant use these stock 190cc injectors even with a safc2,. i was going to boost the motor to 3 psi with stock setup and safc2 and later get 290cc injectors and run 7 psi.
any thoughts from anyone?

Seems that every statement u said contradicts itself in the next sentence...kinda confused me, but anyways: I am pretty sure the 290cc injectors are good way past 3psi, more like at least 10-12(for all I know they could be good up to 20, but pretty sure at least 10-12). As for the stock injectors, I'm really not sure what they are rated up to. Would the rating be based off of how high you can boost before too much fuel is going through injectors which causes them to lock open?

Get bigger injectors.
If you are dying for boost, I wouldn't boost her past 3psi. I wouldn't recommend boosting with less than 450's though.

um... 290's WILL NOT supoort more then 3 PSI. plain and simple. and with 450's you will have tuneing issues with the SAFC.
Injectors do not lock because to much fuel is going through them. ( at least not how you are thinking) They lock when the duty cycle is too great and they overheat.
You will get absolutly no boost out of the 190cc OEM injectors.

Don't think of injector sizing based on boost, thats foolish. Always think of it in how much HP you are lookin to get from a given snail.

I think you might benefit from going here: http://nitrousworld.com/elantra-injector-tech.php
scroll to the bottom of the page and play with that injector calculator. It will help you to figure out what size injectors you need.... also, injector sizing is done by estimating horsepower output, not boost levels....

So....
Estimated Crankshaft Horsepower: 220
Number of injectors: 4
Brake Specific Fuel Consumption: 0.60
Maximum Injector Duty Cycle: 80%
System fuel pressure @ fuel rail: 43.5psi
Injector size equals 436cc/min... That's a bit bigger than 290cc Sonata injectors.

If you get a fuel pump and FPR you can increase the fuel pressure under boost and use a smaller injector.

stock fuel pressure is 49.5 psi... (i think) so the injector cc will be smaller with all other factors the same.

sure in genral you judge injector requirements by HP... unfortunatly we KNOW the car we are applying it to. so saying 3 PSI is the limit is not foolish.
I know someone is going to say something about how a larger turbo will create higher hp at a given PSI then a smaller one...
fuel pressure is 49 PSI at idel and raises to 60 PSI at redline
