I have questions about my setup tooo!!!

hey guys, sooo soon as my car gets out of the shop from the wreck ill be installing the unichip with the 5th injector..... i finally know how to hook it all up thanks to kylemorg......so once i have that hooked up i should have a good fuel/air mixture.......but there is still one small problem....no boost controller....so heres my question......can i install a manual boost controller and set a boost cutoff lower than the wastegate spring is set for or do i need to get a spring that is set for lower boost and use the boost controller to raise the boost cutoff.....the previous owner told me the spring is a 12 psi spring......but i want the boost to be able to cutoff around 6 for daily and 10 for racing.....sooo what are my possibilities....any help is very much appreciated thnx

you'll need a different wastegate spring for lower boost, and use the boost controller to adjust up, are you going lower compression? if so i would probably run 10 daily, that's where i'm at right now.

You will need a different spring. You cannot lower boost below that setting.

IIRC, clarion had a 7psi spring in the wastegate. let me look

I searched and Tim had told Reggie it was set at 5psi.

Why would you even let it go that high untuned? Maybe the wastegate is faulty. Is it setup correctly?

What on earth does this sentence mean? I've done it all, and I read your question 10 times and it doesn't make sense.

I think he's asking if its hooked into the charge piping. (Only logical assumption for measuring boost levels so as to open the waste gate and this being a non-boosted edumicated guess))

i couldnt tell u at the moment because its in the shop and thats probably the only thing i havent messed with since i bought it was the wastegate.....but im about 95% sure it is from what i remember seeing...

Well I would venture to say yes, or else it would have never boosted 5 psi for clarion.
