I'm thinking of getting (for my 99 sentra GXE) the silver Konig Feather 15" wheels and 205/50/15 Kumho ASX tires from Discount Tire (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/interactive.do?yr=1999&pc=75262&vid=006859). Of couse Discount Tire offers free shipping, mounting and balancing and aluminum hubcentric adapters plus there's a $100 discount for purchasing wheel and tire combo valid through 3/31/08. I'll also be getting the all metal clamp in style 3/4" valve stems. This new setup will also be the same weight as my current 195/60/14 stock setup. So for $584 and ready to mount I think that's a steal. I personally like the style and my car is more of a metalic dark blue (slate blue, '99 color) so I wouldn't want anything other than silver. Whatcha guys think?

I really like the konig feathers, they are just about identical to the wheels I have now. I say go for it.

205/50 is way too small for a DD IMO. maybe a 205/55, or a 225/50 would be a better OD for a DD.

But the overall choce of wheel and tire I definately approve of. ASX is a great tire and Konigs are very well made wheels.

Yeah. stock size was a 195/55/15. On a DD a little taller is best for highway use and overall ride. . . just saying.

Nice. I'd do it for that price. I've dealt with Discount Tire before for tires, and was very happy with their fast shipping and good price.

Well, I just ordered them, however, they are out of stock and won't be available unitl maybe May. If they were in stock, I could have gotten a $100 rebate. It would have been great to get a brand new set of wheels and tires for under $500 and no interest for 6 months. Oh well....maybe there will be a rebate available in May.

I'll check into it a little further to see if there's a way I can still get that rebate. I know my wife would be a little more happy about that.

It's official. My order has shipped. On top of that, they extended the $100 rebate promotion till the end of April. Now I get a total of $200 off. Final cost of brand new Matte Silver Konig Feather 15" mounted and balanced with Kumho ASX 205/50 tires which will only cost a grand total of $484. I'm so excited because my researching and waiting finally pays off. I've never been able to find an entire set for this less. I'll have 6 months no interest, too. They will arrive this Wednesday!

Now it's on to finish up my custom 2" SS mandrel bent magnaflow exhaust. I just welded the hangers. Just have to finish up the bends over the axle beam. Then I can finish my front Koni setup with new springs (already have the rear koni and Road Magnet springs installed) and ES bushings on the control arms and new balljoints. This DD will handle better than ever......I can't stay away from great handling (love the curves and turns).

So, they don't ship to Canada? I never payed attention to that but then again, I wouldn't need to. :)

It's not that they don't ship to Canada... it's the ludicrous shipping prices they charge us.

Oh....I see. Now would be the best time since the CAD is worth more than the USD.

OMFG!!!!!!
I just got them in yesterday. Come to find out, the center caps aren't deep enough and there were scratches on two of the wheels, probably when they were putting the valve stems in. I called customer service to see if they have deeper caps and told them about the scratches. I was told they will try to find caps to fit and offered 50% off the two wheels that were scratched or two new ones. Well, I figured two new wheels would require dismounting tires, remounting and balancing. There's more potential scratches and maybe ruined tires. So, now it only cost me a total of $389! I can't believe it. That is great customer service!! I definitely recommend them to anyone wanting wheels, tires or both.
