2009 Kia Optima

Hmmm.... looks like a cross between a Ford 500 (now Taurus), Acura headlights and 98 Honda Accord tails. The 2.7L engine got upgrades but still they should just put the 3.3L in this thing from the Sonata.

Yeah, I was surprised they haven't euthanized the 2.7 in new cars. The look is alright, kind of a version of the 1998-2002 Honda Accord.

I like your description, ha, but, it still looks pretty good. Better than the current Optima I'd say.

I can't figure out why they (Hyundai/Kia) aren't putting in the 3.3l Lambda unless they don't want it to compete with the Sonata (even though in all reality it does no matter what). I guess it keeps the price down? Maybe? I don't know.

If they offer a 2.4theta SX model in manual, that could be a nice car.

Yeah, I'm not saying its bad looking, but it just doesn't stand out. Wish they had better pics of the interior :( It will probably be pretty nice, but we'll have to see.

If I were buying this car I'd probably stick with the new Theta II. Just seems like a better fit for this car than the 3.3L. I think they have kept that engine out of this car cause they don't want it to cut into Sonata sales.

The front end went from G35-ish to Ford-ish. Argh!

Love the Theta II though. Anything that competes with 2.4's from Honda & Toyota

idk bout u guys... but i get a camry/fuzion vibe... and im not digging all that black plastic in the fog light area... i dont really like it much.

well it has some ford cues on it here and there but looks very nice for a kia.

I like the way hyundai and kia are heading in style for 2009+ with their vehicles, I just wish the beta II would be upgraded to like a Beta III or something with more power.
