so i changed the timing belt all the secondary belts, tensioners, and water pump.. and i had a mishap with the cam gear so a new one of those.. i scraped the old gasket off the water really well and used permatex on both side of the new gasket and torqued all the bolts down but its still leaking.. any suggestions on what it could be.. its not much and it takes maybe 5 min before it starts leaking.. with the cover on i cant see exactly where its leaking..im pretty bummed if i have to take it all apart again

You don't need to silicone it to the block. That's kind of like double gasketing an oil filter. It can leak. You only need to silicone things that came factory siliconed. All you needed was a small bit just to hold the gasket in place while reinstalling the pump. Now when you go to redo it, you'll have a hell of a time cleaning the silicone off. Also, try to torque the bolts in a star like pattern (as close as possible) instead of just going from one bolt to the one next to it.
But you also could have a defective pump.

there is a paper water gasket that you should have used, when i did my water pump the gasket was sealed to the block and i spend an hour scrapping it off with a razor blade. damn did that suck

Even torque on bolts helps with sealing flange. Try a torque wrench on the housing bolts before you remove it again. Might get lucky.
