So a guy decides he wants to turn his 360 Modena into a Limo, which is pretty cool, since it's never been done. It may be a stupid thing to do, but it's his. Now Ferrari wants to sue him unless he removes any Ferrari logos and badges from the limo, because it's no longer Ferrari. That's bull****. It is still a damned Ferrari. It's just modified. And as long as the guy isn't mass producing and selling them, he should be able to do whatever the f he wants to his Ferrari. Can you imagine if Hyundai or Nissan sued it's customers for putting body kits, wings, or wheels on their cars?

I agree, but there is also a rumor that he is selling rides in it. But then again its a limo.

I believe Ferrari also makes you sell back the vehicles to authorized dealers when you don't want them anymore. They have a whole bunch of rules.

By the way, that thing is eww.

Hey, if I give someone a ride, is it wrong to ask for gas money? Bottom line, he bought it, he owns it, he should be able to paint a gay rainbow all over it if he wanted to. I wonder what legal charges Ferrari is gonna bring up on the guy that has custom made center lug Giovanna wheels made for his Enzo!

I knew I've seen this somewhere before.

Here's a look inside while it was being built:

Yeah, Ferrari is super-strict on their rules. If you break them, you get blacklisted and they won't sell you another car. One of their big rules is not loaning your car out to any testing agents (like Car & Driver, for example). When the Enzo came out, that was a big deal - since everyone wanted to test them and publish their reports, but nobody would volunteer their car to testing, because Ferrari was keeping a close eye on all of them.

So...that moron who let Eddie Griffin wreck his Enzo is definitely blacklisted...

Ugzz

and whoever let bam margera drive a ferrari probably got blacklisted as well..
also i was reading that even to buy certain models you have to be "Accepted".. so its really no surprise with such strict rules they are trying to sue. I wouldnt be surprised if there was some fine print about heavily modding and it being against policy..

He does deserve a smack for that, but hey Billy Idol helped him. Also he did have a red 360 Modena, the purple Gallardo, and also a Murcielago. Ryan Dunn is the man however, he had an E36 Compact with the M3 I6.

Well people need to go on strike against Ferrari. They are getting a lil too arrogant.

And exactly how do you think holes get into cars when a sunroof is installed? (Answer: Sawzall).

Well people need to go on strike against Ferrari. They are getting a lil too arrogant.

Yeah, I figure if everyone on EXD boycotts Ferrari they'll lose.... no sales at all. The whole point of their rules is snob appeal. Examples like this just make that appeal stronger.

I'm not so sure about this one, if you check around, Autoweek and stuff, usually have several Ferrari's for sale by private owner.

What if Hyundai wanted to sue you for turning your car into a club on wheels? A lot of older people think it's stupid how we put loud *** systems in our trunks or ruin the ride quality with lowering springs and low profiles. Should we also be sued for turning our cars into pieces of crap in their eyes?

Yeah, it's a little more controlled than that in industry; they use a metal template to keep you from going outside the lines, but yep the company I worked for did both sunroofs and convertible tops using Sawzalls. This wasn't a fleabag outfit either; it's the same company that developed the Chevy SSR (retro pickup with the hardtop convertible).

my "NO WAY" was sarcastic BTW ... I know how aftermarket sunroof are installed, and even though sawsall are used I would sue anyone that made it to my car like Bam and Billy Idol did.

Agreed. I don't really care HOW they make the hole, as long as they do it right.

So...no hot glue or heat guns. ;)
