Hi Everyone!

I was wondering if anyone had had their timing belt done either at a pro garage or with someone they knew and could perhaps offer a recomendation. I live in northwest Indiana, so anything between Chicago, Champaign, Indy, and Fort Wayne would be fair game for me.

I'm hesitant to take it someplace like CaRx or another chain because I assume their mechanics just won't have as much experience with Elantras and I cannot live without this car, :-) so someplace with experience and recommendations is preferred.

If there's anyone in the area here that has the tools and/or has done it before and would be free for a day one of these weekends, I'd be happy to work something out. It definitely has to get done before Apr 30th, though.

Also, I don't want to bump the thread, but thanks to everyone who replied to my original post on whether or not I should change the timing belt even though it looked fine!

The Elantra timing belt is not rocket science. It's a simple timing belt job, as common as doing a Honda Civic. There is nothing special. Any certified or experienced technician can handle it. It's not a Ferrari.
