Spacers

I remember posting on here about Throttle body Spacers and someone telling me about an intake spacer. Is this hard and is there any DIY steps. Thanks BOB

you're asking if its hard to do when you don't even want to spend the little time to change your own spark plugs?

does this kind of go along the lines of "if you can't change your wiper blades you shouldn't own a car"? or is it just laziness?

uhm... no. its a relatively easy job... but not for someone who doesnt have any auto know how. i could do it myself, but he may not.

i'd do it, but i remember someone saying its much easier to get under the car for the phenolic spacer. but HOA rules saying no automotive work in driveways, and my garage being way too small to get the car up on jack stands means i cant quite get under it.

getting under it would be easier. ive heard of the bolts being too short, or not enough threads available once the spacers in, thats why i havent messed with it...

wow, really??? do u live on a busy street or something?? i dont even know if theres such a law here in CT... and ive done LOTS of work outside. lol that sucks man

i heard that too, but i've also heard you only need about a 1/2 to 3/4 turn, even without threadloc and you'd be ok. oh well, lets not threadjack.

yea, thats why i hate living under HOA restrictions. all i can really do and get away with is oil changes (keep the garage door closed) and rotate my tires. i do that in the driveway and if anyone makes a stink about it i just say im putting my spare on. i cant even wash my car in the driveway. or wax. i even sanded/polished my headlights indoors to not have to deal with my anal neighbors.

I am not trying to be lazy and I do have auto background. I have even rebuilt a 2 Stroke motor so Im not and idiot. I was just wondering if there were steps to follow. I didn't know what the hell the bypass was until I saw the pictures. BOB
