06 Sonata license plate light removal?

Seems one of my license plate lights is out. I need to replace it. Unfortunately the manual doesn't cover this and I can't figure out how to get the cover off. I don't want to break anything. Anyone know how to get the light out so I can replace it?

On my XD, the bulb is removed from behind. Have you checked to see if there's a way to remove it on the inside of the trunk lid?

Not that I've seen so far... but the inside of the Sonatas truck is a bit different. It has a carpet liner unlike my old 01 Elantra. I'm guessing there must be a clip somewhere.

I will give basic instructions here though in case anyone ever needs to do this. It's a PITA! You have to remove the carpet liner from the trunk lid. It is held in by a variety of plastic screws that require a phillips screw driver. The inside trunk handle has one metal screw and two more have to be removed from the inside trunk release. You then reach inside the trunk lid, disconnect the wiring harness and unscrew the bulbs sockets counter clockwise. The bulbs are 5w 194 type builbs.
