I would guess that the hoses you got are too large to fit snugly on the hose fittings on the engine. You may be able to "sleeve" them onto the engine hose fittings by cutting off an inch or so of the old hoses, fitting those over the engine hose fittings, then stretching the silicone hose over the hose fitting and bit of old hose, then clamping the whole thing. However, you run the risk of having the whole thing pop off under pressure.

I would simply switch back to stock radiator hoses. It's not like you gain any horsepower or gain any other performance advantages with ill-fitting silicone radiator hoses.

Well, then try sleeving the engine-side hose connections with the old hose, then fitting the silicone hoses over them. Just make sure you've got a gallon of premix antifreeze, some extra clamps and a screwdriver in case the hose pops off when you're away from home...

I don't think the silicone hose is that much bigger ... the radiator and block outlet are the same diameter, so if it seals right on the rad, it sould also seal on the block.

You tried a t-bolt clamp???

Also take some sand paper and sand the exterior of the metal hose fittings coming from the engine. They may have some corrosion on them which is keeping the hose from sealing properly.

I have the OBX hoses... the only thing that stopped the leak for me is to double clamp em.

I wish they made those hoses in other colors :(

I also have the obx hoses, I trimmed about 1 or 2 inches off off them because when i got mine they where alot longer than stock.

i installed mine with a screw driver at first had 1 hose leak on me right after, I used a 8mm socket and air ratchet and set the clamps real tight.

its been over a year now and they have not leaked.

my clap is so tight it is pulling silicone through it an as for the Air ratchet goes mine will snap a clamp like its noting i have the big snap-on one i am trying the double clamp tomorrow

i had to trim both too

don't do em gorilla tight or you might crack or dent the nipple...

Maybe a T-Bolt clamp will work?

How odd... An Ex-girlfriend of mine accused me of doing that.

Sanding off the corrosion like Kyle said is the proper way to do it. But if it don't work, buy better quality hoses.
