my dog and i used to watch the jays game together all the time and share a beer. he would bring his bowl and place it by the couch, and we would sit and watch the game. i even knew the entrance song and got excited

I think beer tastes like salt water with alkaseltser. Maybe I'm missing something, it could be the stuff I've had before.

Hineiken
Pilsener (from my country)
Coors light
Corona
Tecate

All of them except for the coors were given as a taste test from my dad. Yeah never liked them. The coors, well I was at a party and I decided to try one. Let's just say I spat that thing right away and threw it into the garbage.

With so many micro breweries here in Portland I'm sure there's something that is good. Lucky me I'll be 21 in five weeks.

Yet again I'm not so interested on beer.

Definitely worth $10 a 6-pack.

RR used to be my ****, then bud bought the brewery :(. it was still good for like 6ish months afterward, then it just started to taste funny. they had to change something.. wieners, ruining my fav domestic :P

i dont really drink domestic beer much. i mean i drink miller when its on sale and crazy cheap.. but for pleasure i pretty much drink imports. lancaster brewing is really good, so is weyenbacher. i like german weizen beers alot too. magic hat 9 is Badass, but im not real big on it out of a bottle, draft FTW, same with cider, Draft!. Newcastle is good, and im a HUGE guiness fan. i love the guiness 1/2 and 1/2 drinsk too. like with harp or bass, or even blue moon, or a nice irish red. oo, i love irish red beers too, murpheys has a good one. and double stouts and chocolate stouts are great... ok fine, i like lots of beer :D

i totally forgot to actually stay on topic oops.
anyway, the pics are hilarious. when i was little we had a black lab and my uncle spilled a beer and the dog drank it. so he apparently gave it another one and that was enough to make it a little wobbly for a little while. im sure it was funny, cruel yes, but im sure it was still entertaining to some degree. tommys cat looks pissed, i guess he an angry drunk...

^only thing i can get that is drinkable for 13$ here is lions head. and its 13 on the button i think +tax though. anything else in the 10-13 range here is undrinkable. highlife, keystone, etc.. :P the domestics like bud/miller lite/ RR/ yuengling etc. start around 15-16

yeah, i've had a couple experiences with drunk pets. my dad dropped a full beer on the floor and our cocker spaniel drank it, at one point he was trying to walk into the kitchen and must have seen two doors. he chose the wrong one, hit the wall, fell over and passed out. the other time was when my ex had about 150 ml of vodka in a bottle, and the dog got it open and drank most of it. that dog was a pomeranian. needless to say was drunk. didn't see it drunk, but she def had a hangover the next day. she slept most of the day, except to wobble over to get some water. it was pretty funny

I stick with 6-packs for the most part. All the ones i drink are less than $8. Think new castle was like $7 last time. High Life is my cheap beer of choice. $4.99 for a 6-pack, like $9 for a 12.

Some of the import stuff gets expensive, but not too bad. Certianly not $13. For more than $10, im buying liquor.

Ugzz
04-28-2008, 01:46 PM
oh ok, we were still talking 6-packs. i was talking 24 packs, full cases.

miller is doing hockey season in my area so all miller cases are on sale. lite is like 15 bucks, high life is down to 13 (cheapest ive seen it EVER). rolling rock used to do football and was abourt 15 during the season, but now that bud bought them out i duno if any specific company will be dropping prices for the games or not. i think bud might, not sure..

there are not many 6 pack shops in PA since our beer is regulated by the state :P
the few 6 pack shops that do exist are serious $$. but a case of good imports can be 40$ EASY, so even though you pay out the azz for a 6 pack its still better then spending 50 bucks on a case and not liking it..

of course our distributors have a full selection of college cheap to get you drunk beer to. american, old german, keystone etc. and all those cases are like less then 10 bucks. there was a beer called old evil eye that was just a gold can with a black eyeball printed on it that was like 7$ for a whole case for a while.

and your cat is still a mean drunk

In my fridge in the garage you can usually find:

Cheap Beer = Miller Lite.
Light Import = Amstel Light.
others = Sam Adams (esp. Cherry Wheat), Heineken, Michelobe Ultra (my wife likes the new flavors, esp. Lime & Cactus),

PA is messed up. When I was up there for a meet and we had to go to a beer store, a liquor store, and the grocery store just to get some quick shopping done. I don't know how it is in SC, but I imagine it's like VA where you get all your beer and wine and the grocery store and then you get your liquor at the liquor store.

^ i do have to say there is something about a liquer store and a distributor. when you find the larger ones its just insanity.. i mean i might be at the beer distributor for like2 hours browsing and debating. i feel like a kid in a candy store.

and agdaniels.. no one *likes* natty. you just "accept" it, and drink it because it will get you drunk fast and cheap. but please, keep words similar to "like, enjoy, good, delicious, and bunny" out of the same sentences as natty.

Guinness is far from cheap, and thats my preference when i'm not drinking natty

Sometimes it's nice to chill and knock a few back, nattys perfect for that

Ciroc is good stuff. They actually sponsor my boss to do charity food events all over the country so we get all kinds of cool Ciroc freebee's.

yea same deal.

the only weird thing that we have is you cant buy alcohol on Sundays in SC, and you cant buy liquour after 7pm the rest of the week.

most of the liqour stores are run by the state from what I understand. Whats funny is, they are required to paint them Red and White, and have poka dots on the outside of the building. Other weird part is they divide the stores in two, two entrances, cant get from one side to the other. One so it can stay open and sell beer/wine and the other so it can close at 7 for liqour.

bdiggy
04-28-2008, 04:57 PM
No Sunday's in CT either. Package stores need to close by 9 Mon-Sat and Grocery Stores have to tarp off that section after 9. We can only get beer at the Grocery store here though, no liquor.

Munky
04-28-2008, 04:59 PM

But You can still buy liqour and beer at Wal-Mart and Meijer until 3am Sunday morning.

Guinness is definitely an acquired taste. as are most of the really dark and thicker beers. esp the stouts and such. its funny how initially i wasnt a big fan and now they are some of my favorite beers.

but i have had natty reg/ice/light etc many times over. MANY times over lol. i put it in the same category as 7-9$ per case beer flavor wise. Well, the light isnt so bad, but its so light theres just not alot of flavor, but for cheap you can just knock a few back i guess.. if you want to drink lightly flavored alcoholic water, maybe better then coors. but coors is just some other good beer that has already been filtered through someone's kidneys and re-bottled.

for you NON-pa people that have access to alcohol at stores: go to your local gas station buy like 3 or 4 of those 99c to $1.50 40's. mix them all together, put them in small cans for months on end to pick up that metallic taste, then enjoy, and there you have natty :D

ok that might be a little extreme hehe, it is better then american too :D, but thats not saying much.

but yes, you are correct, to each his own, and im just picking on natty cause after my hundreds of parties we all poked fun at it

The only beer that i think is "undrinkable" is iron city. one sip and it makes me cringe and maybe even gag a little. i duno what it is about that beer, but i think its the worst out there.. and it is NOT cheap at all!? its one of our more $$ domestics :P

Also, while we have to go to distributors and liquer stores.. WE CAN BUY ON SUNDAY :D but only for limited hour set. i think most stores are 12-5. and this is a newer thing. just passed for 06 i think

Tommy
