i have a 98 elantra and i want to install a sri but i theres 2 wires that i dont know what to do with.i think their sensors but one is in the stock filter box and one is on the connector that connects the elbow to the filter box. do i need to drill holes for these and put them in the sri or something?

The one that is closer to the TB is your MAF sensor. It will need to be included in your SRI. The other is your Intake air Temperature sensor. It should either be included in the SRI by drilling, or it should be mounted nearby to ensure accurate readings.

ya i was thinking just keep the stock elbow and the fitting that has the MAF sensor and just clamp on a K&N cone filter to that fitting..then i would just have to figure out what to do with the intake air tempature sensor.any ideas on where to put it?

You need to keep the MAF and the IAT sensor ... as you can see I just threw a filter at the end of my MAF ... I have about 40k KM on it and don't have any problems. as for the IAT I extended the wires a little and positioned it on the cone filter. (drilled a hole in the plastic part at the end of the filter and put the rubbed fitting from the OEM air box in that hole, then inserted the IAT)
