My friends WRX has one on it with 3 inch piping and it sounds sweet. I was wondering if anyone has one and what app to use because they don't make one for my cars. You guys got to listen to some of there sound clips. They sound sick. BOB

3 inch piping on our cars exhaust is over kill... ull lose power. ideal pipe size is 2.25 to 2.50.

sound can be achieved by changing the types of mufflers, cats, and resonators or w/e else there is.

im sure u could get a greddy muffler, like ur buddy has, but the size difference in the piping, would make a difference in how it sounds. ontop of how different both engines sound.

Ok All I am looking for is a deep sounding sound not anything high and ricy. Any ideas about what I should get. BOB

Magnaflow resonator and muffler ... that will do the trick.

Exactly.

And greddy doesn't have anything available for our elantras. (cat back wise)

I have GReddy rip off muffs in my loft if you want them :)

Don't ever try to get an exhaust system just for the sound though. Research the construction of the system.

Ya i guess your right. I want to just get a cheap system that will give me some power gains. I might go the magnaflow rout or the cherry bomb route. Thanks. BOB

Is this a catback or axelback? I've been looking for something better, so if Bob doesn't get them I might. ;)

Their probably not free, depending on the size it probably wont increase youyr horsepower, it may even decrease it. And for the sound... well i never liked the sound of a 4 banger with a bigger exhaust except for a couple of exceptions.

There axelback only. They were used on my rx7 years ago so I have two of them. 2.5" IN and 4" Out. Can't say they would make a 4 banger sound good but they were loud as hell on my rotary. Hence the reason they are off the car right now. WAAAYYY to loud. Probubly much quieter on a lil 4 banger though.

If you want them, $20 plus shipping and they are both yours. I don't need them for anything.

I don't know if you would feel a power gain with them or not. All I know is when I removed the stock muffs on the rotary which are highly restrictive and put these on, I gained a crap load of power from 4500rpm - 7500rpm. We are talking a very different engine though.

BTW, they have piping welded on them already bent for the system that was on my rx7. You would have to bring them or it to an exhaust shop and have new pipe welded on.

Please note that these are not actual GReddy mufflers. Only built to look like them. Ebay special deal.

Yeah, I'll try them out, the muffler I have right now was attached with couplers, and not even welded. I would like to put something on there that's actually connected at the flanges like it's supposed to be.

2003GT -- you might be able to find a used EvoFusion catback. EvoFusion claims a 20HP gaub, but somebody here on this site dynoed their XD before and after installing it and (only) picked up ~8 HP.

I have the predecessor, the KORE cat-back which is virtually identical to the first EvoFusion variant (round muffler). It sounds good with the silencer in (louder than stock, but about the volume level and pitch of a bug-eye WRX) and definitely frees up a bit of HP.

Do you happen to know who has one. That would be great all I want is a little more tone to it. Thanks BOB
