Okay so a buddy of mine bought a tach at a discount store(no Instructions) It has a red, blue Green and Black wire. It's going into a 1996 chevy S10, 4.3L V6. Anybody know where to get a wiring diagram. It doesn't have any brand name on it all it says is JDM on the face. I search Jdm and everything comes up Honda sites and Japanese Domestic Market crap.

red and black are obivous...
I would venture to say that blue is probably a signal to switch it on
and that green is the rpm feed
then again I could be wrong and it could just be the opposite. Doesn't hurt to try though, there aren't a million solutions.

The real question...why the hell is he putting a JDM tach in a domestic truck?
My assumption is it's a manual truck with no tach, and he wants a tach since he's not that good at driving a stick or wants to know when to shift...?

like kewlkat said, red and black goes to + and -
but i think he meant there is a blue-green wire because he didn't put a comma in between it. so then if its just 3 wires the blue-green would be rpm signal.
Chevys RPM wires are usually white, and my MSD coil has a green wire for RPM. so if it is 4 wires instead of 3 i would say the green would be RPM signal.
And if your truck does not have a RPM wire, just hook up to the - on the coil.
I'm also just assuming wiring colors, It would be best to find the installation instructions for it.
