Based on responses to my other thread ranting about me getting short shafted in the Marine Corps, it got me curious as to how many members here are currently serving or have served. if you have spend any time in the military it'd be cool if you would post your name, rank, branch of service unit(s) served with and your military occupational specialty (what you did). unfortunately i never served, although if i could have passed their medical tests i would have jumped all over it. i have military all over my family tho:

Grandpa - Marine
Grandma - Army Nurse
Grandpa (mom's dad) - Army
Mom - Army 10 years
Brother - Army (active duty on his way to iraq next month)
Brother - Air Force (linguist Mandrin Chinese)
Brother in law - Army (15 months in iraq, now in HI)
BF - navy (honorable discharge 3/05)
not to mention all of my friends i met in VA who were Navy ^_^

don't forget the spouses, you guys rock too!!
