Recently I updated the forum to the newest vBulletin software. The update was for both security reasons and new features.
Thread prefixes - when starting a new thread you can choose one of four prefixes that can help people distinguish what generation Elantra your thread is about. Please use these prefixes in any of your threads that are appropriate (like for fog lights, sway bars, or timing belt changes). There is no need to use the prefixes in most Off-topic threads.
Profile Albums - these are similar to the EXD Garages and Gallery. You can upload pictures, write text about your car, etc. You can access this by visiting your UserCP. I have also added an All Albums (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/all_albums.php) link in the Navbar so you can see everyones albums in one place.
Tags - when making a post you can add "tags" to the post that are one or two words that explain what the post is about. If you are writing a thread about windshield wipers you can tag it as such, a thread about a new toaster you can tag as "toaster." You get the idea. Once enough posts are tagged we will have another type of search available for us in the form of a tag cloud. Here is the start of the EXD Tag Cloud (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/tags.php). This way the poster gets to decide what the post is about and how can make it easier for people to search using those similar terms.
Social Bookmarking - at the bottom of each post you'll notice that you can add each page to any of your favorite social bookmarking sites like Digg or De.lico.us. If you find anything of extreme coolness on EXD (which happens everyday) then feel free. If you use these sites to manage your personal bookmarks then you can do that as well.
Other cool stuff. I think I'll probably be adding other cool stuff as time goes on. Feel free to post your thoughts on things in this post.
