While driving around last night, my secondary fuel rail popped off again. This is only the seocnd time it has happened, but I want to make it a permanent fix. The mounting for the rail is between the head and intake manifold, with two steel studs coming off of that to the rail. Originally, the rail had two tapped holes where two screws would go, over time, the holes stripped out from the steel bolts. After that, I used some JBweld in the studs to secure the rail down, well, now that came off. Any input on what I can do to fix this for good. I was thinking of using Aluminum studs and spot welding around where the rail and studs meet. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Make a thick aluminum or ss base that can be hold from the original holes that holds the OEM FR to the IM. The base should be like two Ls. Will look like an squared S. That way you will be able to hold down the additional Fuel rail with its own bolts and with those two new like clamps bases. You can also make it long enough to use a passing bolt with a bushing. Need a PDF designof the idea? Let me know.:D

Get some Keen-serts or helicoils and fix the threads right ...

He only has stripped threads right? Put inserts in them and no more problems ... you can tighten down the setscrews or bolts till the Allen wrench strips out.

i would avid welding
could you flip the rail 180° (side to side)then drill new hole and tread them
or you could drill the existing holes and install helicoils in them
i'm not exacly sure how he made those,so it might be no use

The rail can't be flipper 180, the studs would not line up for the holes. I'm going to make some brackets and use the bolt holes for the primary fuel rail and see if that helps.
