I installed it same day, in less than 15 min. If you're coming from stocker it's 4 bolts.

WOT ... plus its smaller than the stock one. its smoother than the stock in my eyes, and my pedal isnt as sensitive as i thought it would be ... and the sound clips i gotta get back to you on cause i dont have a new camera that plugs into the comp, i only have a digi BUT it records so idk if theres sound ... ill go try!!

I installed my evofusion catback exhaust on my 04 elantra, and I must say that it is definitely the best bang for your buck. I paid right at three hundred and it runs from the cat back. It was a perfect fit, no welding, creaking, bumping or rubbing. It sounds great with a nice deep tone that doesn't shake the car to pieces. I used to have a '97 tib and it sounded like a damn freight train. It looks great and isnt flashy or show-offey. Alot of people dis EF's shipping time, but it took exactly two weeks for me to get the exhaust. Thanks for everyone's help and input. :)

Where did you get the piece for the throttle again? I don't think I've seen that anywhere before. I like the evo exhaust, I just wish it was tucked up a little more, with my drop, the first time I back into my driveway, it's toast.

Cut the bumper. Isn't that the plan you've had for whatever exhaust you end up with anyway?

Looks good dude. As for sound clips, think they are unneccesary with this exhaust. If you have a SRI or CAI, sounds the same as that, only from the back of your car.

Not really, I'm kinda into the whole sleeper look thing. So I was almost thinking of going custom, with a muffler tucked into the body similar to the stock location, with just a turn down, so you can't see it, but it'd sound better.

Even better. Keep it stock and sexy sounding all at once. Sometimes you're so smart. Guess I can keep you around a bit longer.

How much lower did the rear of your car end up? I have the EF exhaust hung just like this guys and have never come close to bottoming out the muffler.

www.kdmstuff.com is where i got the acceleration pulley, and i think its not engine "bling" as most people call it, it actually has a better response in my opinion cause its smaller than the stock one ... yeh my driveway angles at the end then dips into the street so i gotta go super slow just to make sure it dont get scratched up

Not much more than what you saw, but it's still pretty low. I don't clear by a ton now backing into the driveway, I think I'd definitely stuff that pretty stainless tip into some black top.

Really? My driveway does this too and i've not even come close to scraping. Are you lowered?

Yeah. The tip on this exhaust does clear the edge of the bumper by a couple of inches. It would deffinitely be the first thing to hit anything angled or otherwise.

nah im not lowered, but its cause of the angle, if i go fast up or down the driveway im def scraping it

I like the exhaust. It's not over the top and could almost pass for a stock looking exhaust.

lovemylantra
06-20-2008, 02:35 AM
it might pass as looking as a stock, but for the sound and the gains in the lower rpms WOW

But you go without CC. Which is not a valid trade in my book.

As for the EF exhaust, i've been quite happy with it and certainly surprised others with how non ricey it is.

I just wanna know if it is like really bad when it comes down form a high rev. You know the sound its like Pfffft Pffft. I want to eliminate that. All I want is a nice mellow tone.

Ford Escourt Wagon. PIC http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/9/91/Ford_Escort_USA_1992_Wagon_LX.jpg Looks the same but green. It does backfire but doesn't have the Pssft Pssft sound. Why the hell does it take so long to ship if it was state side. I thought it was imported. My bad.

bdiggy
06-22-2008, 10:38 AM
It is imported. EF is a middle man. For things like this, sometimes they have them in stock, sometimes not. They get shipments of X amount of them, keep them in the US warehouse, and order more from Korea when they're all sold. It only takes a long time if you order while they're waiting for a fresh batch. Email or call and ask if they're in stock before you order.
