Hey guys I finally decided to put a new exhaust system on my car. I went to Exhaust Systems Hawaii and had them put on a custom made catback for me. I asked for 2.25 inch tubing and a 2.25 inch muffler. I told them to keep the resonator so it's really a resonator-back system just b/c I didn't want it to be too loud and I can always remove it later if I want to. I like it the way it is so far. It sounds deep and sporty and it upped my car's fun factor a good bit. I'll post a few pics and a video. My camera doesn't really do the sound any justice. Tell me what you think:

Doesn't sound too bad. A little tinny up top, but has some decent rumble on the low end. I think it'd look better if there was a cut out for it in the bumper and it was up higher, but that's just me. All in all, pretty nice I must say.

Thanks for the reply! I agree that it would look better if the bumper was cut out but I don't want to change the body of the car any.

Did you go full cat back or is that just an axle back muffler? Sounds pretty good either way.

It's a cat back, although technically it's a "resonator-back" system b/c I told them to leave the resonator on. I wasn't sure how loud the muffler would be and I can always remove the resonator later but I like it the way it is. The piping from the resonator to the muffler was replaced with 2.25 inch piping and the muffler has a 2.25 inch outlet. I was told that removing the resonator would affect sound only and not performance.

Is it a Magnaflow.

No, it's not Magnaflow. The guy told me the brand name and it was not one I've heard of before. The muffler doesn't have the name on it either. A friend of mine is going there in a few days and I'm going with him. I'm gonna ask the guys at the shop which brand the muffler is.

Looks good and sounds pretty good too. I also think it would look better with the bumper notched but t least it doesn't look like it's just hanging there.

The muffler is made by Z Power. The exhaust shop buys some of their mufflers from them, and they are based in California. Never heard of them, but I like their sound.
