Forum Errors and Fixes! - Please Read

Lately (over the last month or so since our update to vB 3.7) there has been some errors when trying to search, start a new thread, post, etc. The error looked something like this:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 35 bytes) in /home/elantrax/public_html/forums/includes/functions_search.php on line 197

I have taken some steps to correct this issue. Please post in this thread if you experience anything similar to this while trying to search, start a new thread or post in an existing thread.

I have also fixed the problems with picture attachments not working correctly and displaying as a link rather than a thumbnail.

If anyone has any problems with that let me know as well. Thanks guys.

Remember awhile back, I was having a problem uploading to the gallery and getting a similar error message? Did that get fixed?

Not yet, but I did start looking into tonight. I thought it was related to the thumbnails, and I still believe it is, but it wasn't fixed when I fixed that.

I'm not sure if this is appropriate here but, until James fixes the iTrader rating situation you could search for Felix's thread about it or just do this.

Yeah, after the thumbnail attachment problem, then the Gallery, next stop is the iTrader search.

And look, the thumbnail problem has actually been fixed now.

Which means the Gallery problem is fixed as well now.

By the way, we were having some problems with Member Albums not working correctly before as well. I think it was the same problem so I'll be looking into that when I get a chance as well. If everything looks good I'll add back in some of the features we had for a couple days (until we all decided it looked ugly).

What error are you getting?

You still can't upload anything bigger than 1600x1200 no matter what.

maybe thats the problem this time. It was a different error message than the last one. How do I downsize and maybe I can retry and let you know.

You can use MS Paint or Photoshop (or something like those) to resize your pictures.

The EXD Shop (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/shop.php) link is back in the Navbar. Someone recently fixed the problem with it not displaying so I've put it back.

Sorry the site was down for the last 20 minutes. I was updating to the newest vBulletin (3.7.2) so that there are no security vulnerabilities. We don't want to see "this site has not security" again.

This upgrade has also fixed the search function in the iTrader Ratings (http://www.elantraxd.com/forums/itrader_main.php).

If people have been waiting for it to be fixed to leave feedback, please do so now.

Nope, that is something I can work on (updating to vBa 3.0 caused some errors regarding the birthday module and that was when I was trying to get the site to run right, with or without everything we were used to). Will do.

yep all fixed! you should go work for t-mobile, then maybe their service wouldn't suck so bad!! i've just put in the exchange for my 5th, yes 5, handset from them. my contract started in December!! 5 handsets in 7 months!!! >_< that might be a record...oh well

For the birthdays I have to update to the newest version of vBa. I'll do this after the meet when I have time to work on it in case I mess something up.
