Ok,
This "Roof Spoiler" started as a simple project with one company. This was done before others accused me of being underhanded :eek: (Check the date of the post next time :mad: ) That company did not make what I wanted for the price I wanted. I paid for them to make me a product ($160) which ended up in the trash. So the research goes on. I am not in business and also do not aim to make profit for this. I am just trying to help out my fellow XD’ers. I also own a GLS not a GT. I have made contact recently with a GT owner here. Our schedules do not meet up though so it is hard to schedule time with him for fittings. We have tried 3 so far that did not fit (GT). Audi A3, VW Bora, BMW 5 series Coupe. The problem is the curvature and sprayer on top. On the GLS side, I have 2 that I still need to try. Working 12hrs a day with 2 days off hampers my efforts to get to the shops that have these and or can fabricate them. In addition, shops close at 1PM on Saturday and Europeans do not work on Sundays. So you see my dilemma.
This is still going to happen, I just can’t give a time frame :confused: As with the turbo project, poor mans lip kit, and other things, this will take time. I will keep you updated. Worst case scenario I will have a good contact in Korea soon, whom I trust unlike some.
Just a testament to my resolve though……I flew 7,000 miles round trip to acquire the EGR kit I now have :eek: . I will find a way to get this also along with the other things I want which include Headlight and Taillight covers.
So till then, your patience is appreciated. :thumbsup:
To the “nay sayers” out there, moan all you want, at least I am out here trying to get it done for us.
Lastly, No PM's went to people triing to get them to buy something I do not yet have (why would I?? :mad: :confused: :mad: ), only getting measurements..I have to much honesty and integrity to rip people off or be a middle man(Hmmm :rolleyes: ) And the person or persons that posted such nonsense need to ask around, there are many members here that I have bought from and sold to without flames being started about me or negative results. :2gunsfiri Some of us actually put the money down when the time comes.
